The USO strengthens America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation.
USO Northwest's Stars & Stripes Golf Tournament 2019
We are very pleased to announce that our 5th Annual Stripes Dinner and Auction on August 15th was an outstanding success!

Thanks to your sponsorship and support, we raised in excess of $115,000 in support of our region's military, their families and our veterans. 

 The  Force Behind the Forces  this year, included Presenting Sponsor  Stan Brock's Black & Gold Northwest ; MRE Dinner Sponsors J im Martin , Murdock Charitable Trust , & Dave and Julie Cieloha-Whitney : Silver Star “Golf Cart” Sponsors; GlenMar , Park Assist , SP Plus , and USAMM . With over 30 sponsors total supporting the USO Northwest and our local military community.
Congratulations to Mama T's Pet Therapy, who edged out USA Military Medals, taking first place overall with an impressive score of 54!

Before and during the dinner and auction we were blessed to have Miss Oregon ( Shivali Kadam) serenade us with God Bless America and Amazing Grace. Thank you to Shivili coming out and donating her time and talents.
Sea-Tac Center
THE USO NEEDS YOUR HELP

The USO Northwest Sea-Tac Center is one of only 7 in the United States that is 24/7/365. As such, we have people arriving at the center at all hours day and night.

As such the Sea-Tac Airport Center is one of the busiest USO Centers in the United States serving over 160,000 160,000 military and family members each year. The only way this is possible is our volunteers.

We need your help to fill some of the "Hero Shifts" early morning and night shifts. Please click on the link below to find out more!

Shali Center

The USO Northwest Shali Center at McChord field on Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) provides a troop lounge and full-service kitchen. USO works closely with base operations during troop deployments to provide that last bit of “home hospitality” to deploying military. 

Every month, the Shali Center hosts a free “No Dough” Dinner for military members and their families the day before payday. If you are a unit on JBLM and are interested in the USO Northwest hosting a No-Dough Dinner for you please contact [email protected]
Camp Lewis Center
Coffee Connections : 

The  USO Northwest  held our Coffee Connections for Military Spouses at the Camp Lewis Center on Monday August 19th.

USO Coffee Connections allow spouses to relax in a comfortable setting, share advice, learn about local events, and make new friends over a cup of coffee and pastries.

The spouses enjoyed the August event, which once again featured a goody bag giveaway, a raffle drawing and more!

Join the USO each month as we host small gatherings for military spouses to connect with each other while enjoying a cup of coffee. This is a great way to share advice, discuss local events, and meet new friends!

Our next Coffee Connection will be hosted at the Camp Lewis Center (Located inside America's Credit Union on Lewis Main) on September 19th, 2019 at 10:00 AM.




August No-Dough Dinner:

August's No-Dough Dinner was held on the 14th from 1800-2000 at our Camp Lewis Center.

We were joined by families across  Joint Base Lewis-McChord  for a summer grill out prepared by USO Volunteers.

This month's No Dough Dinner was sponsored by  Tito's Handmade Vodka , a proud supporter of the USO Northwest and our military.

On behalf of the service members and their families we serve, we thank  Tito's Handmade Vodka  for their generous support.

Helping Hands Program:

The Helping Hands Program enables our military to spend valuable time together with their families as a unit. May's distributed funds supported unit volunteer appreciation luncheons, family readiness meetings, a unit bowling event, unit balls, and family picnics.

The Camp Lewis Center is the distribution hub for our Helping Hands Program. This month we provided checks to 13 unit events totaling over $5000.00.

Tribute to Honor Supports Stars & Stripes Golf:

Tribute to Honor is an Oregon non-profit that honors and remembers those police, fire fighters, and service members who made the ultimate sacrifice. 

"THEY were there for us...Help us be there for THEM" 

In addition to supporting the needs of these veterans, responders, and their families; Tribute to Honor also raises fund for other local non-profit organizations that are allied with their mission (Like the USO Northwest).

In the photos are two service dogs that were trained by organization volunteers to serve veterans with disabilities. 
Mobile Center
Mobile USO Feeds Stars & Stripes Golfers:

The USO Northwest's area of operation includes all of Washington and Oregon.

However, we have three Mobile USOs to ensure we can serve the military and their families across our entire AO.

That is why the Mobile USO went down to Portland for our Stars & Stripes Golf Tournament at Langdon Farms. We made sure that all of the sponsors and military members were well fed before the tournament kicked off.
Our three Mobile USOs serve our military and their families at more than 300 events each year – expanding our reach and the number of service members and their families we serve.

You will find our Mobile USOs at
pre-deployment parties, homecoming celebrations, unit activities on military installations and many other special event activities throughout Washington and Oregon.

USO Northwest Five-Star Gala- October 19th, 2019
On Saturday, October 19, 2019 we will host our largest annual fundraiser, our 2019 USO-NW Five-Star Gala and VIP Reception. Join USO Northwest and more than 600 guests at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle’s Southport as we gather to honor the six Military Members of the Year for the Northwest and USO’s celebrated support for the men and women who protect our freedom.

"We are honored to announce that this year’s Gala Special Guest will be Medal of Honor Recipient Florent A. Groberg – the 10th living service member to be recognized with America’s highest valor award for his actions on August 8, 2012 in Afghanistan."
