Gazprom Export's electronic auction gas sales hit 10-week high

Spglobal.com, December 12, 2018: Russia's Gazprom Export sold the biggest daily volume in 10 weeks on its Electronic Sales Platform (ESP) on Tuesday, with total sales reaching 88 million cu m. The high sales volume coincides with a relatively low German  gas price -- the month-ahead price at the NCG hub has slumped in the past week well below Eur24/MWh, its lowest point since the auctions began at the end of September.  Read more...

Russian companies are in talks on becoming residents of industrial zone in Egypt

Tass.com, December 12, 2018: A number of Russian companies are already engaged in direct negotiations with the Egyptian side on becoming residents of the Russian Industrial Zone in the Suez Canal area, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vasily Osmakov said during a business mission to Cairo organized by the Russian Export Center (REC) on the sidelines of The Intra-African Trade Fair 2018 on Wednesday. "Three or four companies have come here to negotiate with the management of the Suez Economic Zone, he said. Great Wall to start operations in Russia mid-2019

Just-auto.com, December 12, 2018: In the first half of 2019, Great Wall Motor says it will start vehicle manufacturing operations in Russia's Tula region. The US$500m facility of Great Wall Motor is part of the automaker's plan to increase its global footprint. Headquartered in Baoding, Hebei province in North China, GWM is making its "biggest move" in overseas markets "since our first vehicle went abroad two decades ago", said Wang Shihui, the company's general manager for international market operations.  Read more...
Total's Yamal LNG has started Train 3 twelve months ahead of schedule

Worldoil.com, December 11, 2018: On the occasion of the inauguration of Train 3 of the Yamal LNG project in the presence of the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, Total announces the start of liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports from the third train of the Yamal LNG project in Russia. This has been achieved a year ahead of the initial schedule and within the original budget. The Yamal plant has now reached its full planned capacity of 16.5 MMtpa less than a year after the first shipment of LNG from the project in December 2017. African-Russian chamber of commerce to be established during 4th EIF in Egypt

Egypttoday.com, December 12, 2018: Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) Ahmed el Wakil said that there are ongoing efforts to establish an African-Russian chamber of commerce during the 4th Egypt Investment Forum (EIF) due on February 9 in Cairo. Wakil's remarks came on Wednesday during a Russian-African forum.   Read more...
World's Biggest Construction Ship to Start Laying Nord Stream 2 Pipes Next Week

Sputniknews.com, December 12, 2018: The world's largest construction vessel, Pioneering Spirit, will begin laying pipes for the Nord Stream 2 project in the Finnish exclusive economic zone next week, Nord Stream 2 AG said in a statement. "Pipelay vessel 'Pioneering Spirit' will enter the Baltic Sea via the Great Belt Bridge in Denmark to join the Nord Stream 2 construction fleet. The vessel is due to start to pipelay in the Finnish Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) in the coming week ... The vessel will be mobilised in Denmark for a few days, after which it will continue its journey to the Finnish EEZ to continue to pipelay of the first line," the statement read.  Read more...
Siemens Gamesa signs second Russia wind deal with Enel

Powerengineeringint.com, December 14, 2018: Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has won an order from Enel Russia for 201 MW of  wind turbines.
Some 57 of Siemens Gamesa's 3.X platform turbines will be supplied, installed and commissioned at the Kola windfarm in Murmansk,  Russia, which is due to be commissioned in 2021.
The contract marks the second part of a deal signed with Enel in 2017 for the supply of 291 MW to two  windfarms in Russia. The first order for the 90 MW Azovskaya project was announced in October.
 "We are proud to announce this second big contract in Russia and to continue the successful cooperation with Enel", said Steven Pryor, Onshore North Europe & Middle East chief executive at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy.  Read more...

Russian universities attract foreign talent

Euronews.com, December 11, 2018: More and more foreign students are choosing to study in Russia due to the excellent education on offer and the low study costs compared to their own country. The Higher school of Economics (HSE) in Moscow is ranked among Russia's 10 best academic institutions. Russel Chan is a postdoctoral researcher at the university. "I think that Russia has a very dynamic research environment that a lot of people in the West do not get to see. I have visited Moscow before and I have seen some research here. So I was really impressed with the work they are doing in Russia," he said.  Read more...

Railwaygazette.com, December 14, 2018: Russian Railways, Russian Export Centre and the African Export-Import Bank signed a memorandum of understanding at the Russia Calling investment forum in Moscow on November 30 agreeing to co-operate to implement export and investment projects in the rail sector. The memorandum runs for three years with the possibility of extension.
Vivarail and Hoppecke are to work together to design and integrate batteries for Vivarail's Class 230 trainsets, which are produced using bodyshells and bogies from redundant London Underground vehicles. 
Russian wagon manufacturer RM Rail expects to produce a total of 7 600 wagons this year, and is planning to develop exports next year.  Read more...
Anti-radiation food developed for Russia's crewed lunar expedition

Tass.com, December 14, 2018: An anti-radiation food ration has been developed for cosmonauts of the future Russian lunar expedition, Head of the ISS [International Space Station) Crew Nutrition Department at the Institute of Medical and Biological Studies Alexander Agureyev told TASS on Friday.
"The cosmonauts' food ration for the lunar program has already been developed. These are foodstuffs with the enhanced biological activity and radio-protective properties," the researcher said.  Read more...

Russia to develop two large HPPs in Uzbekistan

Azerbaijan-Russia intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation to convene in Moscow

Россия и Китай дошли до черты: счет на сотни миллиардов

Ria.ru, 11 декабря, 2018: Согласно официальному отчету Главного таможенного управления Китайской Народной Республики товарооборот между Россией и Китаем за минувшие одиннадцать месяцев увеличился на 27,8% - до 97,23 миллиарда долларов. В ноябре он приблизился к десяти миллиардам. При этом экспорт из Китая в Россию составил четыре с небольшим миллиарда, а импорт из Российской Федерации в КНР - 5,7. То есть у России ярко выраженное положительное внешнеторговое сальдо. Экспорт китайских товаров в Россию вырос за 11 месяцев на 12%, до 43,5 миллиарда. Россия. Сбор зерна в чистом весе составил 110 млн тонн в 2018 году

Это на 11% больше, чем среднегодовые значения за последние пять лет, информирует УкрАгроКонсалт. Зерновые и зернобобовые культур обмолочены со 100% площадей.
