Exxon Mobil partners with IBM on new quantum computing network

Chron.com, January 8, 2019:  Exxon Mobil said Tuesday it is a founding partner with IBM on its new quantum computing network that they contend could lead to new breakthroughs in petrochemicals, electric grid optimization and climate change modeling. The emerging field of quantum computing focuses on enhanced research capabilities and more predictive modeling.  Read more...
Baker Hughes, a GE company Announces December 2018 Rig Counts

Businesswire.com, January 8, 2019: Baker Hughes, a GE company (NYSE:BHGE) announced today that the Baker Hughes international rig count for December 2018 was 1,025, up 34 from the 991 counted in November 2018, and up 71 from the 954 counted in December 2017. The international offshore rig count for December 2018 was 234, up 28 from the 206 counted in November 2018, and up 43 from the 191 counted in December 2017.  Read more...

2018: Year of achievement for China-Russia economic cooperation

News.cgtn.com, January 10, 2019: China and Russia embraced fruitful results in economic and trade cooperation last year and new breakthroughs were made in both quantity and quality, the spokesperson for China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) said on Thursday. In the first 11 months last year, the bilateral trade volume between China and Russia reached 97.24 billion U.S. dollars, up 27.8 percent year-on-year, according to the MOFCOM. China remains the largest trading partner for Russia. As of mid-December, the trade volume surpassed 100 billion U.S. dollars, a record high.  Read more...
Japan's Saibu Gas to decide on joint LNG project with Russian Novatek in 2019

Tass.com, January 9, 2019: Japan's Saibu Gas is examining a joint project with Russian gas producer Novatek for sales of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in countries of the Asia-Pacific Region,  Kyodonews agency reported. As reported earlier, Novatek already inked a memorandum with Saibu Gas concerning use of the LNG terminal in Japan. More specifically, it refers to temporarily unloading and storage of LNG produced by Novatek at the LNG terminal of Saibu Gas in Kitakyushu. Russia to supply nuclear fuel for China's fast-neutron reactor

Energybangla.com, January 10, 2019: TVEL Fuel Company, a subsidiary of Russia's state atomic energy corporation- Rosatom and CNLY, a subsidiary of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) have signed a contract for supply of nuclear fuel for CFR-600 fast-neutron reactor which is currently under construction in China. The contract covers the initial loading of nuclear fuel, as well as supplies for refueling during the first seven years of the reactor operation.  Read more...
Russia produces record volumes of oil, gas in 2018

Xinhuanet.com, January 10, 2019: Russia produced record volumes of oil and gas in 2018, Energy Minister Alexander Novak said Thursday. He told Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting that last year Russia's crude oil output rose by 1.6 percent, or 10 million tons from 2017 to 556 million tons, according to a Kremlin transcript of minutes of the meeting. The increase was attributed to the operation of 54 new oil fields, including several major ones in the Krasnoyarsk region and the Yamalo-Nenets region.  Read more...
Nord Stream 2 AG Built Over 249 Miles of Gas Pipeline - Spokesman

Russia's 2018 coal export, production volumes reach multiyear highs: ministry

Gasworld.com, January 10, 2019: The sixth annual LNG Congress Russia will be held in Moscow from 20th to 21st March (2019). The international platform traditionally attracts LNG industry leaders from all around the world. Rosatom official outlines Uzbek project schedule

World-nuclear-news.org, January 8, 2019: Rosatom expects a site to be selected for Uzbekistan's first nuclear power plant by the end of March and a construction contract to be signed by the end of this year. In an interview last month with news agency Kun.uz, Alexander Lokshin, Rosatom's first deputy director general for operational management, also said construction of the plant itself was expected to start at the end of 2021. Russia removes import taxes for Moldovan fruit, vegetables and wine

Emerging-europe.com, January 6, 2019: Russia has removed import taxes on a number of goods coming from Moldova. From January 1, Moldovan producers have once again been able to export fruit and vegetables (both fresh and processed) and wine to Russia. The move was announced by the Moldovan President Igor Dodon, who claimed that his personal intervention with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin had led to Russia removing the tariffs.  Read more...
Turkmenistan expected to double gas output by 2040

Azernews.az, January 8, 2019: Turkmenistan is expected to double its gas output by 2040, according to the 2018 Global Gas Outlook of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF). GECF believes that Eurasia is assumed to expand its gas production by 300 billion cubic meters (bcm) to maintain its position as the second largest gas producing region in the world, Trend reports.  Read more...

Россия установила новый рекорд экспорта газа

Vedomosti.ru, 10 января, 2019: Россия в 2018 г. установила новый рекорд экспорта газа, причем основной прирост пришелся на сжиженный газ, следует из  опубликованной на сайте Кремля стенограммы встречи министра энергетики Александра Новака с президентом России Владимиром Путиным. По оценке министра, экспорт газа из России в 2018 г. увеличился на 20 млрд куб. м до 225 млрд куб. м, но поставки трубопроводного газа выросли на 4,1%, а СПГ - на 70%. «Хотел бы обратить внимание, что отмечается рост и трубопроводных поставок на 4,1% и, конечно, в связи с вводом в эксплуатацию новых мощностей - завода «Ямал СПГ», было введено две очереди по 5,5 млн т - общий объем экспорта сжиженного природного газа увеличился на 70%, составил почти 26 млрд куб. м газа», - сказал он.

Россия собирается увеличить экспорт зерна в Мексику

Expertrt.ru, 9 января, 2019: О заинтересованности российских поставщиков об увеличении объемов экспорта зерна в Мексику заявил посол России в Мексике Виктор Коронелли, пишет РИА Новости. За последние шесть лет Мексика закупила 1,7 миллиона тонн российской пшеницы. В 2017 объемы поставок увеличились до 356 тысяч тонн. По словам посла, Объединенная зерновая компания Мексики обратилась в посольство с просьбой о содействии в выходе на партнеров для расширения поставок.  Читать далее...
Россия увеличила экспорт рыбы на 4,2%

B-port.com, 10 января, 2019: на 4,2% вырос российский экспорт рыбной продукции за 11 месяцев 2018 года. Он составил около двух миллионов тонн. Об этом сообщает Росрыболовство. Экспорт ракообразных, моллюсков и прочих беспозвоночных вырос на 3,6% и составил 112,9 тысяч тонн. На 5,3% увеличились поставки рыбного филе и прочего мяса - до 116,5 тысяч тонн. Мороженой рыбы было экспортировано 1,8 млн тонн, что на 4,2% больше уровня прошлого года. В тоже время сократился на 3,9% экспорт консервированной, готовой рыбной продукции - до 16,2 тысяч тонн.  Читать далее...
Андрей Пудов: Татарстан по уровню жизни населения занимает четвертое место в России

Rt-online.ru, 11 января, 2019: В российском рейтинге по уровню жизни населения Татарстан занимает четвертое место. Об этом сообщил сегодня заместитель министра труда и соцзащиты РФ Андрей Пудов на итоговой коллегии Министерства труда, занятости и социальной защиты Республики Татарстан. Он отметил, что республика по уровню жизни уступает лишь Москве, Московской области и Санкт-Петербургу.
