Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the United States
  
His Excellency Anatoly Ivanovich Antonov

was born on May 15, 1955, in Omsk, a city in southwestern Siberia. He earned a B.A. and an M.A. in International Relations at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1978 and 1983, respectively. Later, in 2012, Antonov earned a Ph.D. in Political Science at the Institute of World Economy and International Relations in Moscow.

Antonov began his diplomatic career in 1978, spending the next 33 years at the Soviet Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its successor, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

Antonov is fluent in English and Burmese.

Tatarstan is one of the most dynamically developing regions of Russia. Tatarstan ranked number 1 in Russia's national rating for doing business in 2015, 2016 and 2017, it is on the 7th place within Russian regions in GDP, on the 4th place in Investments, on the 5th place in Industrial production, on the 6th place in Construction and on the 3rd place in Agriculture. More than 36 million metric tonnes of crude oil was produced in 2018.

Tatarstan is the only one region of Russia which has two Special Economic Zones with the numbers of federal and regional incentives: the biggest and most efficient SEZ in Russia «Alabuga» for industrial production and SEZ «Innopolis» for high technology. The establishment of the third Federal SEZ «Sviyaga» for transportation and logistics is under consideration. 

Such US-based industrial companies as Ford, 3M, General Electric, Cummins, Medtronic, Federal Mogul, Armstrong, Univation Technologies, East Balt, Cisco, Ecolab, EControls and number of companies operating in advisory service, hospitality sector, in education and IT sector successfully doing business in Tatarstan. Since 2015 another two companies from the US have become the industrial residents of Tatarstan - Allied Mineral Products (Ohio) and Advenira Enterprises (California).

Tatarstan is the only region of Russia which has a permanently acting Trade representation in the USA, based in Washington, DC. 

Rustam Minnikhanov graduated from Kazan Agricultural Institute in 1978 as mechanical engineer and from Correspondence Institute of Soviet Trade (Moscow) as a commodity expert in 1986. He is a doctor of economic sciences. Full bio is available   here.

Mr. Hogan has more than thirty-six years of Operations and Executive experience. His career started in Kingsville, Texas where he spent sixteen years with Exxon Company International in various supervisory roles. 
He then worked two years with ENI/Agip Petroleum as Operations Manager and VP of Well Operations, nine years with Devon Energy Corporation as the International Operations Manager and VP of International Well Engineering, and one year with HRT America as Vice President of Drilling. 

As one of the founding Executives of PanAtlantic Exploration Company, Mr. Hogan originally served as Sr. Vice President - Operations with responsibility for global drilling, completion and production activity, HS&E, contracts / procurement and operations geology.  In March 2016, Mr. Hogan was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in addition to assuming the responsibilities of President and Chief Executive Officer. 

In April 2017, Mr. Hogan became General Manager and CEO of Lukoil International Upstream West in Houston, Texas. He has worked on six of seven continents in countries including Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Chad, Ghana, Malaysia, Thailand and Trinidad.

June 2-8, 2019

The U.S.-Russia Chamber of Commerce (USRCC) invites you to participate in a Trade mission to the    St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Participants will have an opportunity to meet Russian government officials and some of the most influential leaders in U.S.-Russia trade and investment relations. The USRCC will coordinate private meetings, an exclusive CEO Roundtable and introductions, in addition to attending the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPEIF).

Shell switches over 700,000 customers to renewable electricity

Cnbc.com, March 25, 2019: Shell has re-branded energy and broadband provider First Utility as Shell Energy and switched the firm's residential customers in Britain to a 100 percent renewable electricity supply. In an announcement Monday, Shell said that customers of Shell Energy would be offered renewable electricity from sources such as biomass, solar and wind, as standard. Over 700,000 homes were switched to renewables, Shell said.   Read more...
Lukoil, INPEX have concluded testing in Iraq's Eridu field 5th well

Worldoil.com, March 26, 2019: Lukoil and INPEX Corporation have successfully completed testing of the fifth well as part of the appraisal phase at the Eridu field (Block 10) in the southern part of Iraq. The well recorded daily flow rate of more than 1,500 m3 of oil from the Mishrif formation and proved the current geological model of the Eridu field as effective. Lukoil continues geological exploration at Block 10. For instance, in the mid-term the company plans to drill and test several appraisal wells, complete 3D seismic surveys at the Eridu field and 2D seismic surveys at the block's southern and central parts.  Read more...

Russia to boost its share on LNG market

Vestnikkavkaza.net, March 29, 2019: Russia's Energy Minister Alexander Novak said that the share of liquefied natural gas (LNG) on the global gas market may double to reach 70% by 2040. According to him, the segment of LNG production has "huge potential." As of today, the share of LNG in global (gas) trade stands at 35%, whereas by 2035 it will exceed 50% and reach 70% by 2040," he expects. Novak said that Russia will be working towards boosting substantially its share on that market, adding that its LNG production potential is around 100 mln tonnes per year, TASS reported.  Read more...
'Flammable ice': Russia to help China lead next global energy revolution

Rt.com, March 27, 2019: Russian specialists have been invited by Chinese scientists to explore deposits of gas hydrate, also known as fire ice, on the seafloor of the South China Sea. The joint expedition is set to start in July this year. Plans for the joint mission were revealed by the president of the Russian Academy of Sciences, physicist Aleksandr Sergeyev, who said that existing data shows that there are natural gas fields in the region. "The Chinese side is looking for methane emissions [in the South China Sea] and links them to the presence of [gas] reserves.  Read more...
Agriculture.com, March 28, 2019: Russia's 2019 grain crop could exceed 2017's record harvest of 135.5 million tonnes if the weather remains favourable, Arkady Zlochevsky, head of the Russian Grain Union, told reporters in Moscow on Thursday. The Union, a non-governmental farmers' lobby group, currently sees this only as a scenario, as Russia is still sowing its spring grains. Russia, the world's largest wheat exporter, usually starts grain harvesting in late June or early July. Zlochevsky says up to 5-6 percent of winter grains could be in poor condition after winter, which he adds is a standard level.  Read more...
Russian poultry meat producers receive permits to supply products to Philippines

Tass.com, March 25, 2019: The first four Russian enterprises have received the right to supply poultry meat to the Philippines, Russian agricultural watchdog (Rosselkhoznadzor) said in a statement on Monday. "According to information received from representatives of the Department of Agriculture of the Republic of the Philippines, from May 12, 2019, four Russian enterprises will be able to supply their products to the territory of the Republic of the Philippines," the agency reported. The four enterprises are Blagodarnensky poultry plant (a branch of the Stavropol Broiler company), the LISCo broiler company, the Vasilyevskaya poultry farm and the Bryansk Broiler.  Read more...

VW plans to expand output in Russia

Automotivelogistics.media, March 26, 2019: Volkswagen plans to invest Rub40 billion ($630 million) to develop its output in Russia under the terms of the special investment contract (SPIC) the carmaker is about to sign with the Russian government. VW intends to expand its production range in the finished vehicles sector and to significantly increase engine production over the next five years, Marcus Osegowitsch, general director, Volkswagen Group Rus said. The carmaker is seeking to double the production of its 1.6 Tsi engine at the Kaluga plant - from 150,000 units to nearly 300,000. In addition, VW may start manufacturing 1.4 Tsi engines in Russia.  Read more...

Россия планирует организовать поставки СПГ в Ливан

Eadaily.com, 27 марта, 2019: Россия настроена на укрепление двустороннего энергетического сотрудничества с Ливаном. Об этом заявил глава Минэнерго РФ Александр Новак по итогам встречи президентов России и Ливана Владимира Путина и Мишеля Ауна. «Россия как один из крупнейших поставщиков нефтепродуктов и угля в Ливан и в дальнейшем готова обеспечивать поставки энергоресурсов соответственно спросу. Россия увеличила объем импорта угля в Китай на 51%

Infoshos.ru, 28 марта, 2019: По данным Харбинской железнодорожной корпорации (China Railway Harbin Group Co., Ltd), с начала 2019 года зафиксировано увеличение на 51% (по сравнению с аналогичным периодом прошлого года) импорта угля из России в Китай через КПП Суйфэньхэ, передает  Neftegaz.RU. Это связано с тем, что в китайской провинции Хэйлунцзян продолжают закрываться небольшие угольные шахты с годовой производственной мощностью менее 300 тыс. тонн.  Читать далее...
