The USRCC's 10th Anniversary Reception
On May 30, 2019, the U.S. - Russia Chamber of Commerce ("USRCC") hosted its "by invitation only" 10th Anniversary Reception. The celebration took place at the Hilton Americas-Houston, Downtown.
The celebration started with the opening remarks provided by the USRCC Chairman of the Board, Andrew Pidgirsky, who thanked the USRCC members, partners and stakeholders for their support and briefly described the USRCC's achievements over the last decade.
Opening remarks were followed by the speech made by
Mr. Piotr Galitzine, Chairman and CEO, TMK IPSCO/President, U.S. - Russia Chamber of Commerce, who congratulated the USRCC on the 10th anniversary and emphasized the important role the USRCC plays in the development of the U.S. - Russia business relations.
Mr. Galitzine's speech was followed by congratulatory remarks made by Jack Christie, Council Member, At-Large 5, City of Houston and Hon. Alexander Pisarev, Consul General of the Russian Federation, who congratulated the USRCC on achieving such a significant milestone.
Remarks were followed by an award ceremony that honored the USRCC members and supporters whose dedication and contribution helped the organization to continue its mission to shape the business relations between Russia and the U.S.A. The USRCC's
award ceremony included 6 nominations: Leadership Award, Advisor Award, Civic Leadership Award, Corporate Support Award, Major Corporate Contributor Award, and In-Kind Support Award.
The event was very well received by the attendees who expressed their confidence that the U.S. - Russia Chamber of Commerce will continue to grow and prosper.

The U.S.-Russia Chamber of Commerce (USRCC) invites you to participate in a Trade mission to the

Marilyn Davies College of Business Named to 'Top 50' List
News.uhd.edu, May 24, 2019: The University of Houston-Downtown's Marilyn Davies College of Business was the only Houston area higher education institution named as one of the Top 50 Online Undergraduate Business Schools for 2019 by the national ratings website,
College Consensus.
Recognized schools were ranked according to affordability, convenience and reputation. UHD was ranked No. 26 on the list.
Bachelors Degree classes offered online include Finance, General Business, Insurance and Risk Management, International Business, Management and Management Information Systems. UHD also offers Masters of Security Management courses as part of its online curriculum.

Turkish Airlines ready to boost tourism to Palestine
Dailysabah.com, May 27, 2019: Turkish Airlines (THY) is ready to cooperate to boost tourism to Palestine, an official statement said Saturday. Palestinian Tourism Minister Rola Maayia and Turkish Airlines' Vice President for sales in the Middle East Muhammed Fatih Durmaz held a meeting in Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, said the ministry. During the meeting, Durmaz said the airliner is ready for cooperation that would facilitate bringing more tourists to Palestine.

Russia to deliver Power of Siberia gas from Dec.1
Aa.com.tr, May 29, 2019: Russia aims to deliver natural gas to China via the Power of Siberia pipeline from Dec. 1, Deputy Chairman of the company Vitaly Markelov said late Tuesday. Markelov confirmed that the volume of initial deliveries would be 10 million cubic meters per day but would increase. In May 2014, Gazprom and the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) signed a sales and purchase agreement for gas supplies via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline. The 30-year agreement provides 38 billion cubic meters per year of Russian gas to China.

Argentina interested in importing game meat from Russia - agricultural watchdog
Tass.com, May 29, 2019: Argentina has expressed interest in the possibility of game meat deliveries from Russia, head of the Russian agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor and chairman of the Russian-Argentine inter-governmental commission Sergey Dankvert said on Tuesday. "Argentina expressed interest in importing game meat. This can include different types of produce, starting from reindeer meat," Dankvert told reporters after the commission's session in Buenos Aires."It can start as small-scale deliveries, with a possibility for increase in the future," he added.

Russia targets Nigeria, other African countries for fish export
Vanguardngr.com, May 29, 2019: THE Russian Fishing Company, RFC, is currently mulling plans to perfect its exports of Pollack and Herring fish to Nigeria, Ghana and other African countries, the World Fishing Aquaculture Report has said. According to the Chief Executive Officer of the RFC, Mr. Fedo Kisanov, the firm is looking forward to increasing its volume sales of pollock and herring fish in these African countries in the next few years. Kisanov disclosed that before now China was traditionally its biggest market for this species of fish, adding that the firm hopes to expand its market share in Africa.

Russian wheat prices boosted by gains in global benchmarks
Hellenicshippingnews.com, May 29, 2019: Russian export prices for the new wheat crop, due to arrive on the market in the summer, advanced further last week alongside a rise in global benchmark prices in Chicago, analysts said on Monday. Black Sea prices for the Russian new wheat crop with 12.5pc protein content were $188 per tonne on a free on board (FOB) basis at the end of last week, up $2 from a week earlier, Russian agricultural consultancy IKAR said in a note. SovEcon, another Moscow-based consultancy, quoted FOB new crop for July delivery at $187 per tonne at the end of last week, up from $184.5 a week earlier. Russia usually starts wheat harvesting in late June or early July.

Russia-Africa Economic Conference to Bring Together Key Players of the Business Community

The Afreximbank Annual Meetings and the Russia-Africa Economic Conference will be held on 18-22 June in Moscow. Azerbaijan, Russia plan to increase cargo traffic along North-South corridor

Georgia-Uzbekistan launch direct flights
Agenda.ge, May 29, 2019: Georgia and Uzbekistan will launch direct flights, head of Georgia's United Airports of the Ministry of Economy Giorgi Chogovadze stated earlier today, after a meeting with the delegation of Uzbekistan Airways.
