Emerson's New Formation Evaluation Software Release Boosts Understanding of Reservoir Conditions

Emerson.com, June 17, 2019: Emerson announced today the release of  Geolog™ 19, the latest version of its formation evaluation software suite.  Geolog 19 will be unveiled at the 60th Annual Society of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts ( SPWLA)  Symposium, to be held June 15-19 in The Woodlands, Texas. BHGE unveils £31m subsea centre in Montrose

Energyvoice.com, June 19, 2019: Scottish Energy Minister Paul Wheelhouse is due to speak at the inauguration ceremony for the base, which will deliver engineering, manufacturing, testing, assembly and services for deepwater technology. The project was supported by a £4.9m grant from the Scottish government, through Scottish Enterprise. The base is one of the most advanced in the world, boasting facilities for testing and assembly, research and development and workforce training. Employees will have access to virtual reality tools, industrial 3D printing, automation and sensor-equipped machines.  Read more...

Russia eyes Asian market in LNG expansion

Alaskajournal.com, June 17, 2019: A lot of countries have a lot of natural gas they want to sell into the global marketplace, which is growing both in size and competitiveness. Russia's advantages in supplying a bigger share of the liquefied natural gas trade include its strong political and substantial financial support. Russia aims to increase its LNG output about fivefold by 2035 to capture around 20 percent of the global market, with 70 percent of its production going to the Asia-Pacific region, Energy Minister Alexander Novak told the Nikkei Asian Review in an interview the first week of June.  Read more...
Russia, India discuss agreement within gas supply project from Iran to Pakistan

Tass.com, June 18, 2019: Russia is currently discussing signing a memorandum with India on the Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project, Russian Energy Minister, co-chairman of the intergovernmental commission of Russia and Iran on trade and economic cooperation Alexander Novak told reporters. "The Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline was also discussed yesterday [with the Iranian oil minister]. We have signed a memorandum with Iran and Pakistan. Now we are working with our Indian colleagues to sign a memorandum with them," Novak said.  Read more...
More Russian commodities expected to come into China

Xinhuanet.com, June 20, 2019: More Russian commodities are expected to come into the Chinese market, a Russian trade representative said. With the joint efforts of related departments, manufacturers and exporters in Russia, more farm produce and food from Russia will be seen at the Chinese market, said Sergey Inyushin, Russia's trade representative in China. China has a big demand for soybeans, corn, beef and mutton, he said, adding that cooperation in agriculture is becoming a new point of growth in the economic and trade cooperation between Russia and China. In 2018, trade volume between the two countries exceeded 100 billion U.S. dollars, and bilateral economic and trade cooperation is continuing to expand.  Read more...
Looking at ways to bring Russian crude oil into India: Pradhan

Hehindubusinessline.com, June 19, 2019: India and Russia are looking at means to boost partnerships in the hydrocarbon sector. "We reviewed the progress of Indo-Russian projects like Sakhalin-1, the Gazprom-GAIL deal, the investments in Vankorneft and Taas-Yuryakh," Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan said after a meeting with Russia's deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev. We are looking at means to bring Russian crude to India and further the investment partnerships. Putin predicts doubling of Russian agriculture exports by 2024

Rt.com, June 20, 2019: Sales of Russia's agricultural products abroad are expected to reach $45 billion in the next five years, according to President Vladimir Putin. That is "quite an achievable target," Putin said on Thursday, during his annual Direct Line Q&A session. "If, ten years ago, someone had told us that Russia would export agricultural products worth $25.7 billion-a-year, like in 2018, we would have laughed and said: "Thanks for your good-but-unfeasible intentions," the Russian president said. Russia, Iran Sign Memorandum Of Understanding On Cooperation In Energy Sector - Statement

Urdupoint.com, June 17, 2019: Moscow and  Tehran signed on Monday a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the energy sector during the third meeting of the Russia-Iran Energy Working Group in  Iran, the  RussianEnergy Ministry said. The group met ahead of the Russia-Iran intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation that will be held on Tuesday in  Iran's central city of  Isfahan. The group] discussed the realization of joint [Russia-Iran] projects within the framework of bilateral cooperation in energy, as well as perspectives for future cooperation [in the field].  Read more...
Russia's Novatek ships first LNG cargo to Spain from Vysotsk

Af.reuters.com, June 19, 2019: Russia's largest non-state gas producer Novatek has delivered a first liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo to Spain from its Vysotsk plant, according to Refinitiv Eikon data. Novatek, Russia's top LNG producer, officially launched the Vysotsk plant on the Baltic Sea in April. According to the data, Novatek shipped a cargo of 9,500 cubic metres (6,000 tonnes) to the port of El Ferrol in Spain on June 15. The first line of Vysotsk plant has a capacity of 660,000 tonnes of frozen gas per year. Novatek has plans of expanding it by over 1.1 million tonnes annually with a second train.  Read more...
South Africa to increase export of fruit to Russia

Freshplaza.com, June 17, 2019: South Africa plans to increase the supply of fruit in Russia. This issue was discussed at the negotiations of phytosanitary institute Rosselkhoznadzor with the State Service of South Africa on the quality control of export agricultural products. According to South African data, in 2018 more than 203,000 tons of South African fruits were delivered to the territory of the Russian Federation - 7% of the total exports of these products from South Africa. To increase exports, representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor are to visit South Africa and familiarize themselves with the process of growing fruit by enterprises that are interested in increasing exports.  Read more...
Subheading Turkey, Russia vow to increase mutual tourism

Hurriyetdailynews.com, June 18, 2019: Russia and  Turkey agreed on June 17 to expand cooperation in  tourism and strengthen cultural ties at the opening of a joint festival in St. Petersburg. Speaking at a news conference in St. Petersburg,  Turkey's Vice Consul General Taner Arıcan noted that  Russia sends the most tourists to  Turkey every year. Last year, six million Russian tourists came to  Turkey, with 20% from- St. Petersburg, Arıcan said, opening an international festival "Saint Petersburg- Turkey".  Read more...

SOCAR to open new filling stations

Azernews.az, June 19, 2019: Azerbaijan state oil company SOCAR is continuing expansion of its network of filling stations throughout Azerbaijan. Recently, a source at the company told Trend that SOCAR is planning to commission two filling stations in Baku and Sheki this year. Currently, 29 SOCAR filling stations operate in the country. The source added that SOCAR also continues to expand the network of filling stations selling compressed natural gas (CNG). Earlier, SOCAR Vice President for Refining David Mammadov said that it is planned to bring the number of filling stations selling CNG in Azerbaijan to 14 by the end of 2019.  Read more...
Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $15.76 bn

Akipress.com, June 20, 2019: Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover in January-May 2019 amounted to $15.76 billion growing by $3.02 billion or 23.7% year on year. Exports totaled $6.42 billion growing by 14.1%, imports - $9.34 billion growing by 31.3%. Uzbekistan traded with more than 159 countries of the world in the first 5 months of 2019. The foreign trade turnover balance reached minus $2.92 billion. Foreign trade turnover amounted to $15.76 billion increasing by $3.02 billion. Trade turnover of Uzbekistan with the CIS member states amounted to $5.55 billion growing by 34.2%.  Read more...
Kazakhstan to export horse and lamb meat to neighbouring countries

Neweurope.eu, June 19, 2019: Kazakhstan plans to expand meat exports not only to its neighbouring markets, China, and Russia, but also to the countries of the Persian Gulf, Kazakhstan's Agriculture Minister Saparkhan Omarov said on 18 June. "We are planning to hold talks with Israel, Turkey, Kuwait, Oman, Japan, South Korea, and the countries of the European Union," Omarov said in meeting with Kazakh citizens. Kazakhstan is banking on expanding exports of its own livestock products, Omarov said, adding that the quality of Kazakh meat has long been appreciated not only in the neighbouring markets of Russia and China but also in Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait.  Read more...
Belarus-Egypt Business Cooperation Council to hold first meeting in 2019

Eng.belta.by, June 20, 2019: The first meeting of the Belarus-Egypt Business Cooperation Council will be held before the end of 2019. The appropriate agreement was reached at a meeting between co-chairpersons of the Belarus-Egypt joint trade commission, Belarus' Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Vladimir Koltovich and Egypt Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade. A preliminary agreement was reached to hold in Minsk in 2019 the sixth meeting of the Belarusian-Egyptian joint trade commission and also the first meeting of the Business Cooperation Council.  Read more...

Согласован проект строительства СПГ-терминала "Утренний"

Sudostroenie.info, 17 июня, 2019: Главгосэкспертиза России выдала положительное заключение на проектно-сметную документацию на строительство терминала сжиженного природного газа и стабильного газового конденсата "Утренний" в Обской губе Карского моря. Как отмечается в сообщении ведомства, терминал будет построен на западном побережье Гыданского полуострова в районе существующих причальных сооруженийСалмановского (Утреннего) нефтегазоконденсатного месторождения компании "Новатэк". Доказанные запасы месторождения - около 1,98 трлн куб. м природного газа и 105 млн тонн жидких углеводородов - должны стать основной ресурсной базой проекта "Арктик СПГ-2".  Читать далее...
Свердловские власти ожидают рост оборота торговли с Китаем в 2019 году

Власти Татарстана поддержали идею запустить прямой авиарейс Казань - Харбин

Russian.rt.com, 17 июня, 2019: Президент Татарстана Рустам Минниханов поддержал предложение губернатора китайской провинции Хэйлунцзян Ван Вэньтао о запуске прямого авиасообщения между Казанью и Харбином.
