MCDERMOTT AND BHGE AWARDED CONTRACTS FOR ICHTHYS GAS FIELD DEVELOPMENT

  Investors.bhge.com, July 30, 2019:  and  Baker Hughes, a GE company  (NYSE: BHGE) announced today that the companies were awarded contracts to provide a joint URF and SPS solution for the  INPEX-operated Ichthys Liquefied Natural Gas  (LNG) field development, located off the northwest coast of Western Australia. 
The award includes a joint URF and SPS EPCI solution, comprising a new subsea well gathering system (GS4), tied back to the existing central processing facility. In addition to the GS4 scope, the award includes in-fill URF EPCI scope involving the development of new subsea wells tied-in to the existing gathering systems. Water depths in the field range from 787 to 885 feet (240 to 270 meters).    Read more...

Online degrees continue to rise in popularity throughout the nation. The number of U.S. students taking some or all of their classes online increased to  17.6 percent in 2017. Online degrees are helpful to adults who have other obligations, and also reflect the level of integration that technology plays in people's lives. 
UHD psychology major and online student Lauralee Maraj said that this past year was busier than usual with school, work and being a mom of six. She described how online classes helped her keep up with her classes.   Read more...
ExxonMobil expands PE capacity in Texas

Plasticsinpackaging.com, July 31, 2019: ExxonMobil  has started production on a high-performance polyethylene line at its Beaumont, Texas (USA) plant, which increases capacity by 65 per cent or 650,000 tonnes per year, and brings site capacity to nearly 1.7 million tonnes a year.
This latest expansion builds upon the two polyethylene lines ExxonMobil added in 2017 at its Mont Belvieu, Texas site. The company said the increased capacity will help meet strong global demand growth for PE, particularly high-performance products used for liquid and food packaging, construction liners and agricultural films.
"The availability of new supplies of domestically produced natural gas liquids provides us with a significant advantage when expanding PE production to meet worldwide demand growth," said Karen McKee, president of ExxonMobil.   Read more...

Tatneft opened a reconstructed filling station with laser level gages

Neftegaz.ru/en, July 31, 2019: Fuel tanks of the filling station are equipped with laser level gages "AGAT-M" produced by "Teplokontrol" Kazan factory. Optical sensors monitor the level of fuel, density, temperature, presence of water bottoms and allow for round-the-clock monitoring of the fuel quantity and quality. This control system currently has no analogues in the territory of Russia.
The performance of the liquid-motor fuel dispenser site is 500 filling operations per day. High-quality TANECO Ai-92, 95 and 100 gasolines, as well as diesel fuel of the same name with the use of 10 sleeve fuel-dispensing columns GILBARCO are presented for sale at this filling station.
Fuel dispensers are equipped with a multimedia screen and a self-service terminal with the ability to work in postpay mode. Clients can promptly pay the requested amount by bank transfer without contacting the cashier operator.   Read more...
Vostochny port paves the way for increased loadings

Argusmedia.com, July 31, 2019: Vostochny Port - the largest coal stevedoring firm in Russia's far east - is ready to complete the third development phase of its specialised coal terminal, boosting the terminal's capacity to 50mn-55mn t/yr, having handled 24.2mn t last year. This will allow Russian producers to raise coal exports to Asia-Pacific, which is a more attractive destination for Russian mining firms than Europe.
The port almost doubled its storage capacity and has built two new berths. The new coal-handling complex will be able to accommodate Capesize vessels of up to 180,000 deadweight tonnes.  
Vostochny has extended the existing Nakhodka-Vostochnaya rail station near the port to increase throughput capacity. The firm built two rail yards - for receiving and dispatching - at the station.  Read more...
Russian TVEL to introduce new fuel at Dukovany NPP in the Czech Republic

Neftegaz.ru/en, July 30, 2019: TVEL and Czech national power company ČEZ have signed a contractual document for introduction of the new VVER-440 fuel modification RK 3+ at Dukovany NPP.
Within accomplishment of this engineering project, the new fuel will undergo a number of pre-irradiation tests, and their results would make a validation for the following licensing of the fuel by the Czech State Office for Nuclear Safety. 
The project will also consider the operations experience of the prototype of such fuel at power unit 4 of Kola NPP in Murmansk region (Kola Peninsula), where it has been successfully used since 2010.  
RK 3+ bundle is distinguished from the previous generations of  VVER-440  fuel by its advanced design which enables to enhance physical and thermo-hydraulic properties of nuclear fuel.   Read more...
Aeroflot improves its position among top 20 global airline

Rusaviainsider.com, July 30, 2019: Aeroflot Group, Russia's biggest airline holding comprising Aeroflot,  Rossiya Airlines,  Aurora and low-cost carrier (LCC)  Pobeda, has moved up in the passenger number rankings of the world's 20 leading airlines, according to Leading Airline Groups data released by Airline Business, a British air transport trade publication.
Aeroflot Group carried 55.7 million passengers in 2018 and ranked 18th globally, moving two places up from last year's result. Also, the largest Russian airline holding reaffirmed its status among Europe's biggest airlines in the traditional carrier segment.
Measured by revenue-passenger-kilometres (RPKs), Aeroflot and its subsidiaries maintained their 16th place, after improving on last year's result by 9.9 per cent.    Read more...
Traffic of Russian tourists to Sochi higher than to Turkey this summer

Tass.com, July 30, 2019: Russia's Black Sea resort city of Sochi has received more Russian tourists than the Turkish resorts since the beginning of the year, Executive Director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze said on the air at the Vesti FM radio station.
"This season, Sochi is the most visited and most popular resort with Russian tourist. In recent years, almost nothing has changed, over the last 3-5 years, in general, after the Olympics, Sochi still holds the lead, and this year is no exception. Most Russians go on vacation to Sochi. It is more than even in Turkey," she said.  
Earlier, governor of the Krasnodar region Veniamin Kondratyev said that since the beginning of the year more than 7 mln people had visited the regional resorts. He also noted that the tourist traffic in the region is higher than in 2018, when some cities of the Krasnodar region hosted matches of the World Cup.  Read more...
World's first international cable car to connect China to Russia with an eight-minute journey

Abc.net, July 31, 2019: A Dutch architecture practice has unveiled new designs for the world's first international cable car set to connect Russia and China
The cable car will run between Heihe, in the far north-eastern reaches of China, and Blagoveshchensk in Russia, taking in views of the Amur River, a waterway that marks the border between the two countries and often freezes over through the region's long, icy winters.
Four cabins - each able to hold 60 passengers plus luggage - will operate on two international lines connecting the two cities, with cars departing every 15 minutes.
The total journey will take about seven minutes, while actual travel time from station to station will be just three-and-a-half minutes.
The project is set to break ground in 2020 and is backed by Russian urban planning consultancy Strelka KB, who predict up to a million passengers will use the service each year.  Read more...
Russian technologies' export rose almost six-fold from 2001, research reveals

Tass.com, August 1, 2019: Russia's exports and imports of technologies grew by 5.8 times and 7.7 times respectively since 2001 and reached $1.4 bln and $3.1 bln in 2018, the Institute of Statistical Research and Knowledge Economy of the Higher School of Economics says in its research published on Thursday.
"Russian export and import of technologies in current prices rose by 5.8 and 7.7 times accordingly over the period of 2001-2018, reaching $1.4 bln and $3.1 bln in 2018. The total foreign trade turnover of technologies in Russia amounted to $4.5 bln, with the sevenfold increase vs. 2001. Its volume dropped by 0.4% over the last year,' the research says.   Read more...
Japan Airlines to start service to Vladivostok

Ifn.news, July 30, 2019: Japan Airlines has announced that it will start a new service between Tokyo Narita and Vladivostok in summer 2020. In addition to Moscow Domodedovo, it will be the airline's second destination in Russia.
The new route is scheduled to be operated on a daily basis during the summer season in 2020. The winter schedule will be announced at a later date.
Japan Airlines' oneworld partner S7 Airlines already offers flights between the two airports. The carrier deploys Airbus A320/A320neo jets on the route. Furthermore, Aurora Airlines, a subsidiary of Aeroflot, operates a daily service from the Russian city to Tokyo. Japan Airlines plans to operate with Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the flight to the Vladivostok.   Read more...

Omutinskoye District Attracts Foreign Hunt Tourists

Enadmtyumen.ru, July 29, 2019: Sport and wellness resort 'Krasny Yar' ('The Red Ravine') in Omutinskoye district will welcome first foreign tourists in August 2019. The Governor of the Tyumen region, Alexander Moor, visited the developing site.
'There is a mini-hotel that accommodates up to 8 people, as well as a petting zoo. Horse ride walks are available. The complex includes a fish pond. We plan to further develop eco-, rural and hunt tourism', explains Viktor Bareshko, the businessman and the owner of 'Krasny Yar', to the Governor.
The resort includes more than 17 thousand hectares of rented hunting area and an open-air cage to house wild animals in semi-wild conditions. Currently, there are more than 70 dapple deer, 50 roe deer, 50 boars, 30 red deer, and 10 elks, as well as 2 bison (not for hunt). The businessman plans to crossbreed bison and local cows in order to develop a new sturdy, easy-to-feed, and frost-tolerant livestock breed.  Read more...

Total, KazMunayGas and Kazakh Energy Ministry signed MoU

Neftegaz.ru/en, July 31, 2019: France energy giant Total has signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of digitalization in the oil and gas industry with Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company  KazMunayGas (KMG), and the Kazakh Ministry Energy, New Europe reported.
The memorandum was signed during the visit of France's Economy and Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire to Nur- Sultan.
In accordance with the signed document, the parties intend to assist government agencies and other organisations in the implementation of the state programme "Digital Kazakhstan"" and the further process development of digitalization of the oil and gas industry.
" Total is among the top 10 largest oil and gas companies in the world. Therefore, their experience in the issues of digitalization of the oil and gas industry and the application of modern technologies will allow Kazakhstan to adopt the best practices in order to improve operating efficiency and increase in oil and gas assets," the deputy chairman of KMG, Zhakyp Marabayev, said after the signing ceremony.  Read more...
SOCAR significantly increases oil, oil products exports

Menafn.com, July 31, 2019: The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has significantly increased the volume of oil and oil products exports.
Their export grew by 48 percent in the second quarter of 2019.
The company informed that during the reporting period, SOCAR exported 4.9 million tons of crude oil (including profit oil produced in the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli oil and gas field). It also exported more than 172 million cubic meters of natural gas, as well as more than 604,000 tons of oil and petrochemical products.
Despite the decline in crude oil exports, a 48 percent increase in exports of oil and petrochemical products was recorded. One of the factors contributing to a decline in exports of crude oil and gas is the direction of large volumes of products for refining.   Read more...
Turkmenistan, Russia to hold business negotiations at regional level

En.trend.az, July 27, 2019: A meeting of the Turkmenistan-Astrakhan Council on Entrepreneurship is scheduled for August 11 in Turkmenbashi city,  Trend reports referring to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.
This structure was created upon the decision of the Turkmen-Russian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.
The delegation of the Astrakhan region will be headed by acting governor of the region Igor Babushkin. The corresponding documents are planned to be signed with the Turkmen side.
Earlier it was reported that Astrakhan is interested in Turkmenistan's transit possibilities for the transportation of Russian goods, in particular, to Central Asia and Afghanistan.   Read more...

«Газпром» увеличил добычу газа до восьмилетнего максимума

Eadaily.com, 1 августа, 2019: «Газпром» по итогам января-июля 2019 года увеличил добычу газа до максимума с 2011 года - до 294,5 млрд кубометров. Об этом говорится в сообщении компании.
По сравнению с аналогичным периодом прошлого года добыча холдинга увеличилась на 1,9% или на 5,6 млрд кубометров.
При этом экспортные поставки газа сократились по сравнению с январем-июлем 2018 года на 4,8% или до 111,5 млрд кубометров. Однако по ряду направлений объём поставок увеличился: в Венгрию - 58,4%, в Австрию - на 30,6%, в Чехию - на 41,5%, в Словакию - на 28,1%, в Нидерланды - на 10%, во Францию - на 3,5%.  Читать далее...
В Оренбургской области экспорт продукции АПК превысил $50 млн за полгода

Rt.com, 29 июля, 2019: Предприятия сельского хозяйства и пищевой промышленности экспортировали товары на общую сумму более $50,9 млн за первые шесть месяцев 2019 года. Это на 16,5% превышает данные за аналогичный период 2018-го, передаёт RIA56.
Основной объём пришёлся на злаки, корма для животных, подсолнечное масло и готовые продукты из мяса и рыбы.
Как  заявили в Министерстве сельского хозяйства, пищевой и перерабатывающей промышленности, работа по увеличению объёмов экспорта проходит в рамках исполнения майских указов президента России и регионального проекта «Экспорт продукции агропромышленного комплекса».
Ранее «Реальное время» сообщало, что внешнеторговый оборот Татарстана  составил $19 млрд по результатам 2018 года, из них $15 млрд - экспортные поставки.  Читать далее...
Растут объемы экспорта рыбы и морепродуктов из Турции в Россию

Trt.net, 28 июля, 2019: В январе-июне 2019 года из восточно-черноморского региона Турции в Россию было экспортировано 1793 тонны черноморского лосося на сумму 10,5 миллионов долларов, что в 24 раза больше показателя прошлого года.
В Ассоциации экспортеров Восточно-Черноморского региона Турции (DKİB) напомнили, что в первой половине 2018 года из этого региона Турции на российский рынок была поставлена 71 тонна лосося на сумму 440 тысяч долларов.
Глава DKİB Саффет Кальонджу рассказал агентству «Анадолу», что экспорт рыбы и морепродуктов в Россию растет.
«Черноморский лосось, выращиваемый в специальных нашем регионе, пользуется большим спросом на международном рынке, в том числе в России. Этот вид рыбы отличает особый вкус»,- отметил Кальонджу.
Черноморский лосось выращивают в провинциях Трабзон, Ризе и Артвин и отправляют в Россию в виде замороженного филе.
По его словам, ряд новых турецких компаний обратились к соответствующим ведомствам с просьбой включить их в список экспортеров рыбы в Россию

Эксперты: объем экспорта российских технологий увеличился с 2001 года почти в 6 раз

Tass.ru, 1 августа, 2019: Объемы экспорта и импорта технологий РФ с 2001 года выросли соответственно в 5,8 и 7,7 раза, достигнув в 2018 году $1,4 млрд и $3,1 млрд. Однако в целом торговля технологиями и услугами технологического характера РФ на мировом рынке не достигла значительных масштабов, свидетельствуют выводы исследования Института статистических исследований и экономики знаний ВШЭ,  опубликованные  в четверг.
"Объемы российского экспорта и импорта технологий в текущих ценах выросли за период 2001-2018 годах соответственно в 5,8 и 7,7 раза, достигнув в 2018 году $1,4 млрд и $3,1 млрд. Суммарный внешнеторговый оборот технологий в России в 2018 году составил $4,5 млрд, увеличившись по сравнению с 2001 годом в 7 раз. За предыдущий год его объем сократился на 0,4%", - говорится в сообщении.
