USRCC's 4th Senior Business Executive Speaker Series
On September 17, 2019, the U.S.-Russia Chamber of Commerce organized its 4th Senior Executive Speaker Series roundtable featuring Mark Gyetvay, Deputy Chairman and CFO of NOVATEK - the 2d largest independent natural gas producer in Russia and the 6th largest gas producer in the world. The event took place at the Petroleum Club, Houston, TX.
The event started with the networking and continued by opening remarks made by the USRCC's Chairman of the Board. After the welcome remarks, Piotr Galitzine, Chairman and CEO, TMK IPSCO provided introductory remarks to the main speaker of the event Mr. Gyetvay.
Mr. Gyetvay shared with the audience his experience related to the success of the Yamal LNG project, which was completed ahead of the deadlines and under the budget, sophistication and challenges of the construction and logistical side of the Arctic LNG project, delivery and marketing aspects, market competitiveness and the LNG market outlook.
This "by invitation only" roundtable was attended by the senior executives of the top global energy and investments companies. Attendees included Presidents, CEOs, Chairpersons and C-level executives from, Shell, LUKOIL, TOTAL, Mitsui, Rusk Capital, TMK IPSCO, OMK Tube, Neftegaz (Rosneft), Gazprom Marketing and Trading, Miller and Lents, Sulzer GTC Technology, Gas Innovation, OFSI, WoodRock and Co. and others.
Business roundtable concluded with the networking session where attendees exchanged opinions and made new business connections.

Construction of Russia's northernmost wind farm begins near Murmansk

An official ceremony to begin construction of Russia's northernmost wind farm was organized near a road connecting Murmansk and Teriberka. The ceremony featured the Murmansk Region's Acting Governor Andrei Chibis and Enel Russia's Director General Carlo Palasciano Villamagna.
Construction of the wind farm, which is the first wind farm in the Murmansk Region, is planned be completed in 2021. Investments in the project will make 237 million euro. The wind farm will have positive effect on the region's ecological situation, Enel Russia's representative said during the ceremony, adding the new power generating complex will be an input in the Russian energy system.
