Turkish Airlines plans Taipei frequency increase in W20

Routesonline.com, December 5, 2019:   Turkish Airlines in winter 2020/21 season intends to increase service on Istanbul - Taipei Taoyuan route, which sees service operates daily, instead of 6 weekly. The airline traditionally operates this route 7 weekly in summer, 6 weekly in winter season.   Read more...
Chairman of Gazprom Management Committee and Mongolia's Deputy Prime Minister sign Memorandum of Understanding

Gazprom.com, December 5, 2019: Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Ulziisaikhan Enkhtuvshin, Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia, signed today in Sochi a Memorandum of Understanding. 
The document provides for a joint assessment of the feasibility of pipeline gas supplies from Russia to China across Mongolia.  Read more...

Long-term ties with German business meet Russia's strategic interests - Putin

Tass.com, December 6, 2019:  Russia seeks to develop long-term ties with German businessmen, which meets the strategic interests of the country, President Vladimir Putin told a meeting with the German business executives.  "Germany is one of our most important economic partners, we highly appreciate the pragmatism of German business and their willingness to work together, we strive to further develop bilateral relations in order to unconditionally meet the long-term interests of both states," he said.   Read more...
Russia Launches Gas Exports to China

Themoscowtimes.com, December 2, 2019: Gazprom's Power of Siberia pipeline comes online, carrying Russian gas to China for the first ever time.  Russia on Monday started piping gas to China, as the long-awaited Power of Siberia pipeline connecting the two countries came online. President Vladimir Putin and Chinese premier Xi Jinping officially opened the 3,000 kilometer gas pipeline today via videoconference. Russian state gas giant Gazprom will immediately start sending its gas southwards - the first time Russian gas has been sent directly to China. The two countries struck a $400 billion 30-year agreement for Russian gas exports back in 2014, signed by Gazprom on the Russian side and the Chinese government-owned China National Petroleum Corporation.  Read more...
Serbia will be able to participate in Russian gas transit via TurkStream, says Putin

Tass.com, December 4, 2019:The Russian leader said that the laying of pipes to extend the TurkStream on the territory of Serbia will be completed in the coming weeks Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that it is possible for Serbia to participate in the transit of Russian gas through the TurkStream. Russian Wheat Prices Continue Rise on Back of Strong Demand

Russiabusinesstoday.com, December 2, 2019:  For the third consecutive week, Russian wheat prices recorded a rise last week, driven by higher demand from exporters and domestic processors, which offset rising supply from farmers, analysts  told  Reuters on Monday.  Some 12.5% Russian wheat prices for December delivery were up $0.50 to $208.5 per ton on a free on board (FOB) basis at the end of last week, agricultural consultancy   IKAR

Russian stocks increase on oil price advance, stronger ruble

1prime.biz , December 4, 2019:   The Russian stock market edged up on Wednesday to win back previous losses thanks to rising oil prices and an encouraging sentiment on the Western floors, analyst said.   The MOEX Russia Index grew 0.60% to 2,900.66 and the RTS rose 1.13% to 1,430.03.  "The Russian stock market managed to win back part of the previous day's losses. The domestic shares were supported by the external background. The Brent oil price went up significantly to above U.S. $62 per barrel," senior analyst at Promsvyazbank Bogdan Zvarich said. Russia Wins Oil Concessions at Key OPEC+ Meeting

Themoscowtimes.com, December 6, 2019:  Russia will barely have to cut its oil production as part of a new deal to stabilize oil prices agreed Friday with the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).  At a two-day meeting at OPEC's Vienna headquarters, 24 countries accounting for half of the world's oil output agreed to a new round of production cuts to reduce supply in the market and support oil prices.  The oil producers will now cut production by an extra 500,000 barrels per day (bpd) in the first quarter of next year, on top of the 1.2 million bpd cuts which are already in place.  Read more...
  E-visas may attract more tourists to Russian Arctic, tourism authority says

Tass.com, December 6, 2019: Electronic visas and eased visa formalities for foreign visitors to the Russian Arctic could attract more tourists to the region, deputy head of the Federal Agency for Tourism, Rostourism, Sergei Korneyev told the Arctic: Today and the Future international forum on Thursday. "We could without major financial investments 'redirect' to the Russian Arctic tourists and revenues, which now go to Norway, Iceland and the US," he said. "For this we should reasonably ease the entrance formalities for foreign tourists, entering the Arctic zone."   Read more...

Lukoil to assist Yugra in construction of new public facilities

Lukoil.com, December 2, 2019:  Today in Khanty-Mansiysk President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov and Governor of Yugra Natalia Komarova have signed a supplement to the Cooperation Agreement for 2020.  The document defines the scope of financing that will be provided, among other things, for the construction of the Regional Training Centre for winter sports such as ice hockey, figure skating, short track speed skating, curling and sledge hockey. The two-storey building will have the total area of 12,500 m² and a seating capacity of 450 people. In September 2019, Russia's Minister of Sports Pavel Kolobkov, Governor of Yugra Natalia Komarova and President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov laid a cornerstone at the construction site of the future center.    Read more...

Armenia participates in Foreign Direct Investment Expo in London for the first time

Minister says innovative ecosystem created in Azerbaijan

Azernews.az, December 4, 2019:  Azerbaijan has created innovative ecosystem in its economy, Azerbaijan's Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade said while opening the Bakutel 2019 International Telecommunications, Innovations and High Technologies Exhibition on December 3.  "In accordance with the Strategic Road Map for the Development of Telecommunications and Information Technologies in Azerbaijan, the head of state approved the concept of the Government Cloud. Rostselmash to Open Assembly Plant in Azerbaijan

Russiabusinesstoday.com, December 2, 2019:  Russian agricultural equipment company  Rostselmash  plans to launch an assembly plant for its harvesters in Azerbaijan in 2020, the company's general director Valery Maltsev has  told Interfax.  "So far, we have signed an agreement of intent. We are currently negotiating with one of the partners in Azerbaijan. The market there ranged from 150 to 300 combines in different years. We plan to launch a machine assembly project in 2020. We expect to assemble 40-50 combines in 2020, and then we'll take it from there," Maltsev said.  Read more...

Якутия: ускоренный рост промышленности и лидерство по инвестициям

Ria.ru, 6 ноября, 2019:  Республика входит в число активно развивающихся регионов Дальневосточного федерального округа. По итогам 2017 года Якутия является лидером по объему валового регионального продукта в округе, при этом рост ВРП в регионе отмечается на протяжении последних восьми лет.  Основу экономики республики составляет промышленный сектор. По итогам января-июля 2019 года рост промпроизводства в регионе составил 11,6%. Это выше, чем в целом по РФ и ДФО. При этом положительная динамика отмечается во всех четырех сферах промышленного производства.
