LUKOIL TO FINANCE CONSTRUCTION OF SCIENTIFIC AND EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES IN KOGALYM

Lukoil.com, December 11, 2019:   President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov, Mayor of Kogalym (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District - Yugra) Nikolay Palchikov and Rector of the Perm National Research Polytechnic University (PNRPU) Anatoly Tashkinov have signed a tripartite Cooperation Agreement today in Moscow. The document provides for the cooperation of the parties in supporting science and education in Kogalym for that purpose a branch of PNRPU will be established in the town. This will facilitate the development of a modern science and education environment, including training of engineering staff for oil and gas industry in line with advanced international standards. The university plans to invite both Russian and foreign professors to teach at the branch.  Read more...

Exxonmobil.com, December 13, 2019:   Darren Woods, ExxonMobil chairman and chief executive officer, today presented the company's annual holiday gift of $50,000 to CitySquare to help advance the organization's efforts to fight poverty in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Another year, another record: Russia & China project trade to hit $110bn this year

Rt.com, December 13, 2019:  Beijing expects trade turnover with Moscow to surpass $110 billion in 2019, setting a new record for trade volume between the two countries, according to a Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOC) forecast.  From January to November, mutual trade between Russia and China stood at 100.32 billion, which is 3.1 percent more than in the same period last year. A new record could be set if the trend persists, the ministry's spokesman, Gao Feng, said at a news conference on Thursday.  Read more...
Russia Aims to Supply 6-16 Sukhoi SSJ100 Passenger Jets to Pakistan

Sputniknews.com, December 11, 2019:  Russia has been talking to India as well about supplying SSJ100 jets amid rising demands for passenger planes in one of the world's fastest growing aviation markets. The opportunities to sell the Russian planes in foreign markets have brightened as the share of US components in the plane has dipped to less than 10 percent. Expanding its economic co-operation with Islamabad, Russia is studying the possibility of exporting its SSJ100 passenger jets, made by Russia's Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company, to Pakistan. Gazprom Promises Shareholders Higher Dividends within Three Years

Russiabusinesstoday.com, December 13, 2019:  Russia's state-run gas giant  Gazprom  said on Thursday its management board had approved a new dividend policy, recommending increasing dividend payments to at least 50% of net profit within three years, RBC   reports .
If adjusted net debt to EBITDA exceeds a ratio of 2.5, the board may decide to reduce the size of dividend payments, the company said. The move will allow Gazprom to pay out three times higher dividends than the average payments over the past 10 years.  Read more...
Tass.com, December 13, 2019: T he Russian Central Bank decided to raise the key rate to 7.75%: The ruble began to strengthen against the dollar and the euro on the Moscow Exchange after the Russian Central Bank decided to raise the key rate by 25 basis points to 7.75%. Thus, the dollar fell by 7 kopecks to 66.37 rubles. Nevertheless, the dollar rate is 0.2% higher than at the close of trading the day before.  The euro dropped by 10.2 kopecks to 74.95 rubles, which is 0.37% lower than on Thursday.  Read more...
Absolute unit: World's most powerful icebreaker begins sea trials in the Baltics

Rt.com, December 13, 2019:  Built to ensure Russia's success in the Arctic, the flagship of a new line of nuclear icebreakers took to the sea near St Petersburg. The Arktika vessel is set to become the largest and most powerful icebreaker in the world.  The sea trials will verify how the actual ship complies with its design characteristics, while also testing the reliability of its equipment and systems.  The massive icebreaker was built for Russia's atomic agency, Rosatom, at the Baltic Shipyard in St Petersburg. Kazakh PM visits US and UK, oversees signing of multiple agreements

Astanatimes.com,  December 13, 2019:  A Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin recently visited the United States and the United Kingdom to negotiate agreements on venture capital, digital technologies and healthcare, reports primeminister.kz. 
Mamin, as part of his visit to the United States, met Dec. 11 in San Francisco with the heads of global innovation, digital development, venture financing and energy companies.  He met with the World Economic Forum's (WEF) Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (CFIR) leadership and discussed with WEF Managing Director Richard Samans cooperation in regulation of innovative technologies. As a follow up, the CFIR and Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) signed a strategic partnership agreement, which will develop the Internet of Things (IoT). This will allow for the opening in Kazakhstan in 2020 of WEF Affiliate Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which will provide state support for innovative projects and latest technologies development.  Read more...

The meeting was chaired by Tajikistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Sirojiddin Muhriddin. Ria.ru, 13 Декабря, 2019: П етербургская команда разработчиков IT-решений "Спираль" получила специальную награду премии "Цифровые вершины", организованной в рамках прошедшей 12-13 декабря в   Москве Российской недели интернета (RIW-2019).  Премия "Цифровые вершины" - конкурс российских разработчиков, которые создают IT-решения для повышения эффективности бизнеса и государственных структур. На премии были представлены и лучшие разработки победителей конкурса "Цифровой прорыв" - одного из флагманских проектов президентской платформы "Россия - страна возможностей".
