Houston is responsible for 20 percent of the overall U.S.-Russia trade. about entering a project to develop oil fields on the shelf of the Sea of Okhotsk (the Sakhalin project), three sources told Kommersant.
The Neptune and Triton oil fields, opened in 2018, have total reserves of more than 550 mln tonnes, while recoverable reserves are estimated at 70 million tons and 45 million tons, respectively. Two sources noted that the companies had held consultations but the prospect of a partnership was unclear.

Russia needs more investment to outpace global economic growth - Putin

February 13, 2020: Russian President Vladimir Putin has called on the government to make the country's economic growth more stable and eventually bring the national gross domestic product (GDP) above the global average.
The Russian economy expanded by 2.3 percent in the last quarter of 2019, bringing annual GDP growth to 1.3 percent, the Russian leader said as he met with government officials on Wednesday to discuss the domestic economy and last year's results.
To support economic development, the country needs to ensure that investment inflows remain strong, said Putin. The Russian government and the central bank should team up to fulfill this task, he added.

Argentine province wants to team up with Moscow on gas projects, says Russian envoy

The authorities of the Argentine province of Tierra del Fuego are interested in cooperating with Moscow in the field of gas production and exploration, Russia's Ambassador to Buenos Aires Dmitry Feoktistov told reporters on Thursday.
"The production and exploration of hydrocarbons, primarily gas, both on the territory of the province itself and in the open ocean [offshore] as well," is a potential area of cooperation between Russia and the Argentinian region, the diplomat said. "We have companies that are interested in that. Governor [Gustavo Melella] has also confirmed to us that the province will be interested in working with Russia to carry out economic projects," he added.

(apart from banks) in 2019, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee.
Among the main investors in Belarus were economic entities of Russia (45.1% of the total), the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (18%) and Cyprus (7.6%).
FDI made up $7.2 billion, or 72.3% of the total foreign investments.
