Lukoil Installs Accommodation Platform Jacket at V.I. Grayfer Field

Lukoil.com, May 25, 2020: LUKOIL completed installation of a jacket for an accommodation platform topside at the V.I. Grayfer field in the Caspian Sea. The offshore operations involved 110 workers and nine vessels. The facility was brought to the offshore installation site via the Volga-Caspian Shipping Canal. After the floatover and grounding, the substructures were fixed with ten piles of 56 meters in length each and with a total weight of 1 700 tonnes. Read more...
Progress of Amur GPP Construction Project Reaches 61.9 per cent

Gazprom.com, May 28, 2020:   The Gazprom  Management Committee  took note of the information about the status of the  Amur Gas Processing Plant  (GPP) construction project. The GPP is one of the largest infrastructure projects of the Company in Russia's Far East. The plant will process multi-component natural gas received via the  Power of Siberia  gas pipeline from the Yakutia and Irkutsk gas production centers. Valuable components extracted in the course of processing will be used as feedstock for the petrochemical and other industries. Read more...
Proposed 3D Imaging Standard Will Focus on Robotic Assembly Applications

Astm.org, May 27, 2020:   A proposed ASTM International standard is intended to focus on robotic assembly applications. ASTM’s 3D imaging systems committee ( E57 ) is developing the proposed standard ( WK72962 ), which should be the first in a series of standards on 3D, or depth perception, systems. Read more...

Oil Demand Recovered by 20% in May Against April - Russian Energy Minister

Tass.com, May 25, 2020:  Oil demand remains at a low level but the demand in May increased by 20% against April, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said on Monday, cited by the Ministry. "Despite the grave situation, the industry continues working. We also see that motor gasoline prices remain flat year-to-date and diesel fuel prices increased by just 1.5% from the year-start," the Minister noted. Read more...
U.S. Senators Weigh Additional Sanctions on Russia's Nord Stream 2

Reuters.com, May 28, 2020:  Two U.S. senators are considering drafting further sanctions on Russia’s Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline if Moscow goes ahead and finishes laying pipes, in another blow to a project which has already faced delays. U.S. sanctions legislation originally sponsored by Senators Ted Cruz, a Republican, and Jeanne Shaheen, a Democrat, in December halted work by Swiss-Dutch company Allseas on the pipeline that aims to boost Russia’s gas exports under the Baltic Sea to Germany. Interfax.com, May 26, 2020:  Russian oil companies are discussing the proposal from OPEC+ partners on prolonging by two months the May-June oil output reduction quotas under the OPEC+ deal, a source familiar with the discussion told Interfax on Tuesday evening. Russian Banks Import Most Dollars Since 2014 Crisis

Themoscowtimes.com, May 26, 2020:  Russian banks bought their highest volume of U.S. dollars since the 2014 crisis in March amid unprecedented volatility on the global financial markets. Data from the Central Bank, first reported by the RBC news website, shows Russian banks imported almost $5 billion in U.S. dollars, and another 1 billion in euros, during March. Read more...

Rt.com, May 25, 2020:   Russia is planning to create its own orbital space station and winged, crewed spacecraft, according to Dmitry Rogozin, Director General of Russia’s space agency Roscosmos. No Alternative to Renewable Energy

Azernews.az, May 26, 2020:   Azerbaijan intends to further develop alternative energy sphere gradually by increasing the share of renewables in electricity generation, Azerbaijani MP, Doctor of Economics, Professor Rufat Guliyev told Day.az, Trend reports. Доля Несырьевого Экспорта Из России В Марте Составила 41%

Ria.ru, Май 25, 2020:   Доля несырьевого неэнергетического экспорта (ННЭ) в общем объеме экспорта из РФ в первом квартале 2020 года выросла почти на 5% к аналогичному периоду прошлого года, достигнув в марте 41% от всего объема зарубежных поставок, сообщает Российский экспортный центр. При этом, относительно февраля ННЭ в марте вырос на 13%, преимущественно за счет учеличения экспорта продукции АПК и металлов. Читать далее...

Kommersant.ru, Май 23, 2020:   Данные Emerging Portfolio Fund Research (EPFR) свидетельствуют о снижении спроса на российские акции со стороны международных инвесторов. По оценке “Ъ”, основанной на данных отчетов Bank of America и BCS Global Markets (учитывают данные EPFR), за неделю, закончившуюся 20 мая, инвесторы вывели из российских фондов $160 млн, это на треть выше показателя предшествующий недели и максимальный результат со второй половины апреля.
