Shell Completes Sale of U.S. Appalachia Assets to National Fuel
Shell.com, July 31, 2020: SWEPI LP (“Shell”), a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc, has completed the sale of its Appalachia shale gas position to Seneca Resources Company, LLC and NFG Midstream Covington, LLC, each of which are subsidiaries of National Fuel Gas Company (“NFG”). The consideration amount of $541 million, less closing adjustments, is paid fully in cash. The transaction has an effective date of January 1, 2020. Read more...

Capacity of Russia's Seaports to Grow by over 300 mln Tonnes by 2024
Interfax.com, August 6, 2020: The capacity of ports in the Far Eastern, Northwestern, Volga-Caspian, and Azov-Black Sea basins of Russia will grow by more than 300 million tonnes over the next four years, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said in an interview with Interfax on Thursday. "The development of ports in the Far Eastern, northwestern, Volga-Caspian, and Azov-Black Sea basins has been planned for the period through 2024. Russia Continues Raising Fuel Oil Exports to United States
Reuters.com, August 6, 2020: Russia has continued increasing fuel exports to the United States, raising them by 16% in July from June, to 1.078 million tonnes, replacing crude oil supplies from Venezuela, Refinitiv Eikon and traders’ data showed on Thursday. Siberian University Develops Way to Produce Artificial Blood Vessels for 90% Cheaper than Existing Method
Rt.com, August 5, 2020: Researchers at Russia’s Tomsk Polytechnic University have developed a cheap new technology for creating artificial vessels, which are used in the treatment of acute vein thrombosis. When treating thrombosis, doctors attempt to restore the functionality of blood vessels medically or surgically. If this proves impossible, the vessel is removed and replaced with an artificial one. Coronavirus Sends Income for Russia’s Entrepreneurs to Lowest Level On Record
Themoscowtimes.com, August 3, 2020: Russians’ earnings from business activity crashed to their lowest level this century during the second quarter as the coronavirus pandemic battered the country’s small and medium-sized businesses. Data from Russia’s federal statistics service Rosstat showed that just 3.5% of all household income came from so-called ‘entrepreneurial activity,’ a classification which covers money earned by small business owners as well as some rental income and other royalties. Gazprom Neft Starts Developing New Production Cluster in Western Siberia
Steelguru.com, August 6, 2020: Gazprom Neft has begun its full-scale development of a major hydrocarbon cluster, with total potential resources estimated at 650 million tonnes of oil, covering license blocks in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug and the Tyumen Oblast. One million tonnes of liquid hydrocarbons have been produced at the flagship asset on this project, the Alexander Zhagrin field in Yugra, in its first year under development. Read more...

Международные Резервы России за Неделю Выросли на $9,1 млрд
Tass.ru, Август 6, 2020: Международные резервы РФ, по данным на 31 июля, увеличились по сравнению с показателем на 24 июля на 1,6% (или на $9,1 млрд) и составили $591,8 млрд. Деловая Активность в Сфере Услуг в России Рекордно Выросла с 2008 Года
Forbes.ru, Август 5, 2020: Индекс деловой активности (PMI) в сфере услуг России вырос за месяц на 10,7 балла и в июле 2020 года достиг 58,5 балла, что является максимальным показателем с июля 2008 года, свидетельствуют данные исследования IHS Markit. Темпы роста индекса также оказались рекордными за 12 лет. Значение индекса выше 50 пунктов указывает на рост деловой активности по сравнению с предыдущим месяцем, а ниже 50 — на общее снижение.
