LUKOIL Begins Modernization of its Yarega Field Production Facilities in the Republic of Komi

Lukoil.com, August 26, 2020: LUKOIL launched a priority project aimed at the modernization of Yarega field oil mines and related infrastructure. The project entails the first ever full reconstruction of all three Yarega oil mines, including modernization of both the surface and subterranean facilities. Reconstruction of pithead buildings, horizontal rock debris, sectional ventilation shafts, steam-injection and extraction wells, and underground complexes is planned. Read more...
Gazprom and Mongolian Government Sign Memorandum of Intent

Gazprom.com, August 25, 2020: A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, Prime Minister of Mongolia, took place today via a video call. Libra Consortium Takes Final Investment Decision on Mero-3 FPSO in Brazil's Pre-salt

Shell.com, August 25, 2020: This is the third production system to be deployed in the Mero field, with final investment decisions to contract the Mero-1 and Mero-2 FPSOs already taken. Each unit has a daily operational capacity rate of 180,000 barrels of oil equivalent, with production coming online over the next four years. The Pioneiro de Libra FPSO (50,000 barrels of oil equivalent/day) has been producing at Mero since 2017 and is a key source of information for the consortium to aid further development and productivity of the field, reservoir and wells. Russian Government Develops Ways to Subsidize Fuel Supplies to Far East

Tass.com, August 25, 2020: The Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service together with Russian Railways, are preparing a draft government decree on subsidizing fuel supplies to the Far East, the mechanism will improve the situation with the supply of the region, said deputy head of the FAS, State Secretary Andrei Tsarikovsky in an interview with TASS on Tuesday. Kazakh Government Forecasts Kazakhstan to Have 2.8 Percent GDP Growth in 2021

Astanatimes.com, August 26, 2020: The Kazakh Ministry of the National Economy has projected a 2.8 percent growth in real gross domestic product (GDP) in 2021, and 4.6 percent in 2025. This was announced by the National Economy Minister Ruslan Dalenov during an Aug. 25 government meeting. During the online meeting held between the two countries railway operators – Azerbaijan Railway and Kazakhstan Railway companies – the sides discussed the pilot project on creation of the digital corridor in the Trans Caspian International Transport Corridor, paperless execution of documents during cargo transportation on the route. Система Преференций Начала Работать для Инвесторов в Арктической Зоне России

Tass.ru, Август 27, 2020: Федеральный закон о государственной поддержке предпринимательской деятельности в Арктической зоне России, предусматривающий преференции для резидентов территории, вступает в силу в пятницу. Он был подписан президентом РФ Владимиром Путиным 13 июля.
