LUKOIL and Perm Region Sign Cooperation Agreement, September 8, 2020: Vagit Alekperov, President of LUKOIL, and Dmitry Makhonin, Head of Perm Region, signed an Agreement on Social and Economic Cooperation for 2021-2025 today in Perm. It is designed to continue the sustainable economic development of the region and to implement local and regional social projects. As part of the agreement, LUKOIL will support construction, reconstruction, and repair of medical, educational, infrastructural, cultural, and sports facilities in the region. Read more...
ExxonMobil Announces Redtail Discovery Offshore Guyana, September 8, 2020: ExxonMobil has made its 18th discovery offshore Guyana at the Redtail-1 well which will add to the previously announced estimated recoverable resource of more than 8 billion oil-equivalent barrels on the Stabroek Block. Redtail-1 encountered approximately 232 feet (70 meters) of high-quality oil bearing sandstone and was drilled in 6,164 feet (1,878 meters) of water. The well is located approximately 1.5 miles (2.5 kilometers) northwest of the Yellowtail discovery. Read more...

Russian Economy Recovering from Pandemic Impact – Putin, September 10, 2020: The Russian economy has withstood the damage of coronavirus-related restrictions better than other leading economies, and the country has been gradually recovering since June, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday. According to the president, Russia’s GDP fell 8.5 percent in the second quarter of the year, compared with a 9.5 percent decline in the US and the eurozone’s 15 percent plunge. Read more...
Companies with Foreign Capital Will do Business in Russia Despite Crisis - Official, September 9, 2020: Large and medium-sized companies with foreign capital intend to develop their businesses in Russia, despite the crisis caused by the novel coronavirus pandemic, President of Russia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergey Katyrin said on Wednesday. Russia Completes Tests for Space Advertising, September 10, 2020: The laser assembly for spacecraft, capable of displaying advertisement from space, has passed stratosphere tests, Avant Space, the developer, told TASS Thursday.
“The laser assembly was launched to the stratosphere, to an altitude of about 30 kilometers, in order to confirm the calculated light source power in conditions, similar to those of space,” the company noted.
Lukoil Head Speaks of Readiness to Develop Cooperation with Turkmenistan in Upstream, Petrochemicals, September 10, 2020: Lukoil head Vagit Alekperov has informed Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow about development of oil and gas fields in the Caspian and spoken of the company's readiness to broaden business and partnership ties with Turkmenistan both in upstream and in production of finished products of the petro- and gas chemicals sectors, the Turkmenistan State News Agency reported. Russia's Rosneft Starts its First Solo Hard-to-recover Oil Project, September 10, 2020: Russia’s largest oil producer, Rosneft, said on Thursday it had started to drill an exploration well at a hard-to-recover oil project, its first without any partners.Rosneft has started to drill a first exploration well at the hard-to-recover Domanik formation in the region of Orenburg, near the border with Kazakhstan. Real Sector of Kazakh Economy Has Continuous Positive Growth, Says Economy Minister, September 10, 2020: The real sector of the Kazakh economy has experienced continuous positive growth due to production increase in construction, agriculture, and manufacturing over the first eight months of 2020, said Kazakh Minister of National Economy Ruslan Dalenov during a Sept. 9 government meeting. The first deliveries of furniture and plywood to the United States, despite the geographical distance, proved worthy and increased several times in the first seven months of the current year. Минфин Предлагает Бизнесу Платить Все Налоги Единым Авансом, Сентябрь 9, 2020: Минфин разместил на поправки к Налоговому кодексу, распространяющие механизм единого налогового платежа (ЕНП) на организации и на индивидуальных предпринимателей. Суть добровольной процедуры — уплата налогов, торгового сбора, страховых взносов одним платежным поручением без уточнения вида платежа, срока его уплаты, принадлежности к уровню бюджетной системы. Титов Предложил Снизить Ставку по Программе Льготного Кредитования МСП до 6,25%, Сентябрь 9, 2020: Займы по программе льготного кредитования субъектов малого и среднего предпринимательства (МСП) должны выдавать по ставке не выше 6,25% годовых. Такое мнение высказал в среду ТАСС уполномоченный при президенте России по защите прав предпринимателей Борис Титов.
