USRCC Standardization Conference is a specialized technical conference that addresses common issues and challenges of standardization, certification and conformity assessment.
USRCC in partnership with the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) and its Committee for Technical Regulation, Standardization and Compliance Standard, Rosstandart, American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM International), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the American Petroleum Institute (API) invites you to attend the 3rd Standardization Conference to discuss rules for obtaining licensed translations, standards development system, products certification rules, work in technical committees of U.S.A. standardizing bodies, and other related questions.
This Conference will provide attendees with a better understanding of the differences between the U.S.A. and Russian standardization systems, standards development processes and standards committees.

ExxonMobil to Sell U.K. Upstream Central and Northern North Sea Assets
Exxonmobil.com, February 24, 2020: ExxonMobil has signed an agreement with HitecVision, through its wholly owned portfolio company NEO Energy, for the sale of most of ExxonMobil’s non-operated upstream assets in the United Kingdom central and northern North Sea. The sale price of more than $1 billion is subject to closing adjustments, and has additional upside of approximately $300 million in contingent payments based on potential for increase in commodity prices. Evraz Apeaks of Growing Interest of Companies in M&A in U.S. but Yet to See Interesting Propositions
Interfax.com, February 25, 2021: Evraz has drawn attention to growing interest of companies in M&A deals in the United States but has yet to see any propositions that would interest it. "We are now seeing, at least in the U.S., growing interest in M&A deals. We have yet to see this converted into something demanding consideration. It is rather a general backdrop suggesting that activity is returning here, but I do not see any specific cases," Evraz CEO and co-founder Alexander Frolov said on a conference call for reporters. Putin Approves Launch of New Preferential Lending Program for Business
Tass.com, February 24, 2021: Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved launching a new annual lending program FOT 3.0 for the businessmen, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Wednesday. Russia Approves its Third Coronavirus Vaccine CoviVac for Domestic Use, Production Launched Before Trials Complete
Intellinews.com, February 21, 2021: Russia has approved CoviVac, its third coronavirus vaccine, for domestic use, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on state TV, although large-scale clinical trials have not started yet. The CoviVac vaccine is based on a highly successful vaccine Russia developed to prevent polio and could be more effective against mutations of the coronavirus (COVID-19), as it is a “whole-virion” vaccine that uses a deactivated form of the actual coronavirus that has been stripped of its ability to replicate. High Oil, Weak Rouble to Boost Russian Finances Before Election but Pose Inflation Risks
Reuters.com, February 25, 2021: Rising oil prices and a weak rouble could boost Russian state coffers before a parliamentary election this autumn, giving the authorities more leeway for social spending despite the risk of fuelling inflation. This year’s budget deficit is forecast to come in at 2.4% of gross domestic product (GDP), but Russia could end up with a surplus and even pocket up to $25 billion in additional revenues from higher oil prices and a weak rouble, analysts say. Rosneft Plans to Boost Share of Gas Output to 25% of Total Portfolio by End of 2022
Interfax.com, February 26, 2021: Rosneft plans to boost its share of gas production to 25% in the company's total portfolio by the end of 2022, the Russian state oil company said. "The launch of the gas projects of Rospan and the Cenomanian deposits at the Kharampurskoye field will allow the company to achieve a level close to 25% by the end of 2022, when taking into account the planned rise in oil and gas condensate production, which we expect when the restrictions have been lifted regarding the OPEC+ deal," Rosneft's First Vice President Didier Casimiro said during a press conference. Russia’s Government Debt Rose 40% in 2020
Themoscowtimes.com, February 24, 2021: Russia’s state debt rose by 40% last year, as it sold trillions of rubles in bonds to prop up lost oil and gas revenues from the pandemic. The Audit Chamber, Russia’s government spending watchdog, said Wednesday state debt stood at 19 trillion rubles ($257 billion) at the end of 2020, equivalent to 17.8% of the country’s GDP. Azerbaijan to Encourage Participation of SMEs in Public Procurement
Azernews.az, February 25, 2021: Participation of small and medium sized enterprises in public procurement will be encouraged, Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov wrote on his official Twitter page on February 24. Kazakhstan’s Agricultural Industry Shows Positive Growth Despite Pandemic
Astanatimes.com, February 25, 2021: Kazakhstan is experiencing a positive growth trend in the agricultural industry, according to the reports available on the Prime Minister’s website on Primeminister.kz. Based on the preliminary results of 2020, the gross agricultural production increased by 5.6 percent and reached 6.3 trillion tenge (US$15 billion).
