USRCC in partnership with the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) and its Committee for Technical Regulation, Standardization and Compliance Standard, Rosstandart, American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM International), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the American Petroleum Institute (API) invites you to attend the 3rd Standardization Conference to discuss rules for obtaining licensed translations, standards development system, products certification rules, work in technical committees of U.S.A. standardizing bodies, and other related questions.

Appointment of New Chair and other Board and Committee Changes

Shell.com, March 11, 2020: The Board of Directors of Royal Dutch Shell plc (the "Company") has announced the appointment of Sir Andrew Mackenzie as the new Company Chair with effect from the conclusion of Shell’s 2021 Annual General Meeting, scheduled for May 18, 2021. Andrew will succeed Chad Holliday who will step down on May 18 having served as Chair for six years and as a Board Director since September 2010. Read more...
Yuganskneftegaz Remediates More Than 230 Hectares of Land in 2020

Rosneft.com, March 9, 2021: RN-Yuganskneftegaz, Rosneft’s largest production asset, has remediated over a thousand land plots with a total area of over 230 hectares in 2020 as part of its long-term environmental protection and restoration programme. Russian Inflation Peaks in February at 5.7% y/y

Intellinews.com, March 9, 2021: The CPI rate reached 5.7% year on year in February, the Central Bank of Russia (CBR) reported on March 5. This marks the highest level since November 2016. Monthly inflation jumped to 0.8%, well above consensus estimates of 0.6% month on month.The main driver of price growth was food (7.7% y/y in February), especially white sugar (64% y/y), eggs (28% y/y), vegetable oil (27% y/y) and cereals (21% y/y). Russia Registers $13.1bn Current Account Surplus in 2021

Russiabusinesstoday.com, March 11, 2021: According to preliminary estimates from the CBR, Russia’s current account surplus in 2021 amounted to $13.1bn (it was $6.8bn in January), down from $17.7bn in 2020, bne IntelliNews reports. The year-on-year decrease was primarily due to the trade surplus shrinking to $17.6bn from $23.6bn, which in turn owed mainly to lower oil prices. Read more...
Russia's Rosneft to Sell Southern Assets to Focus on Vostok Oil, Sources Say

Reuters.com, March 10, 2021: Rosneft is selling its three southern oil assets and could complete deals for all three by the end of May, sources told Reuters on Wednesday, as Russia’s top oil company shifts focus to the giant northern Vostok Oil project. Vostok Oil, in which global commodities trader Trafigura has a 10% stake, is one of Russia’s biggest oil projects, comparable in size with the exploration of West Siberia in the 1970s or the U.S. Bakken oil province over the past decade. Current Investments in Arctic LNG 2 Amount to $21.7 bln

Tass.com, March 11, 2021: Current investments into the Arctic LNG 2 project amount to 1.6 trillion rubles ($21.7 bln), Novatek CEO Leonid Mikhelson says on Thursday. Arctic LNG 2 is the second LNG project of Novatek. It provides for construction of three liquefied natural gas trains with the capacity of 6.6 mln tonnes per year for each and production of stable gas condensate up to 1.6 mln tonnes annually. Azerbaijan Boosts Production in Non Oil, Gas Sector in Jan-Feb

Azernews.az, March 12, 2021: Azerbaijan increased the volume of production in non-oil and gas sector by 12.1 percent in January-February 2021, the State Statistics Committee has reported. Kazakh National Economy Minister Reports Positive Economic Indicators in First Two Months of 2021

Astanatimes.com, March 11, 2021: Kazakh Minister of the National Economy Aset Irgaliyev reported on the country’s economic development over the past two months noting positive dynamics across the sectors, as the epidemiological situation shows signs of improvement, according to the Kazakh Prime Minister’s press service. Belarus Doubles Food Export to Uzbekistan in 2020

Eng.belta.by, March 9, 2021: Belarus' export of food products to Uzbekistan increased more than twofold in 2020, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry. Last week, Tashkent hosted a meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission on bilateral cooperation. Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Ivan Krupko met with Uzbekistan's Minister of Agriculture Jamshid Khodjaev and top officials of the state committee of veterinary medicine and livestock development of Uzbekistan. Владимир Путин Обещал Подумать над Льготами для ЛУКОЙЛа
