Thursday, March 25, 2021: HR Panel "Working in the Digital Age"

On Thursday, March 25th USRCC together with its Young Professionals Committee hosted the 4th HR Panel "Working in Digital Age," moderated by Leana Garipova - Corporate Associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP and Young Professionals Committee Vice-Chair.
The attendees had a chance to learn from experienced HR executives about how working and hiring processes changed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

USRCC Standardization Conference is a specialized technical conference that addresses common issues and challenges of standardization, certification and conformity assessment.
USRCC in partnership with the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) and its Committee for Industrial Policy and Technical Regulation, American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM International), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the American Petroleum Institute (API) invites you to attend the 3rd Standardization Conference to discuss rules for obtaining licensed translations, standards development system, products certification rules, work in technical committees of U.S.A. standardizing bodies, and other related questions.
This Conference will provide attendees with a better understanding of the differences between the U.S.A. and Russian standardization systems, standards development processes and standards committees.

Lukoil and Russian Ministry of Energy Conclude Agreement on Measures to Support Construction of Deep Oil Refining Units
Lukoil.com, March 24, 2020: LUKOIL and the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation concluded an agreement that provides for LUKOIL receiving an investment increment to reverse excise tax on oil till January 1, 2031 in order to construct new deep oil refining units at the LUKOIL-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez LLC, which is a PJSC LUKOIL wholly owned subsidiary. RNG and Eastsib Holding Companies Use Gas for Power Generation
Rngoil.ru/en/, March 19, 2021: The Eastsib Holding is implementing a program of generating power from associated petroleum gas (APG). This will increase the level of APG rational use and, in the long term, to abandon the purchase of electricity.
In the Eastern blocks of Srednebotuobinskoye oil and gas condensate field (EB SB OGCF), an energy complex with a capacity of 5 mW was commissioned back in 2019. The APG produced at the field is sent to generate electricity to meet the field’s own needs. Read more...

Gazprom Adds Over 480 Billion Cubic Meters to its Gas Reserves through Geological Exploration in 2020
Gazprom.com, March 24, 2021: The Gazprom Board of Directors took note of the information about the ongoing work for resource base support, geological surveys, and geological exploration performed by the Company. It was highlighted that Gazprom, which has the largest reserves and output of natural gas in the world, is effectively expanding its mineral and raw material base, primarily through geological exploration. Russian Oil Exports to U.S. Hit Record High – Bloomberg
Themoscowtimes.com, March 24, 2021: Russian oil shipments to the U.S. hit a record high last year, according to calculations by Bloomberg, while at the same time Washington was amping up its warnings about Europe’s energy dependence on Russia. Russia leapfrogged Saudi Arabia to become the third-largest oil supplier to the U.S. last year, accounting for 6.85% of all U.S. imports. That amounted to an average of 538,000 barrels a day — or around 5% of Russia’s entire oil production. Read more...

Russia Approves Long-term LNG Plan to Focus on Arctic, Far East
1prime.biz, March 22, 2021: The Russian government has approved a long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) program to develop the Arctic shelf and the Far East to diversify gas sources, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Monday at a meeting with his deputies. Russia Fights to Keep Course on Carbon and Renewables amid Budget Squeeze
Intellinews.com, March 22, 2021: Russia’s next phase of renewable energy development looks like it won’t be as well-funded by the state as planned. That said, the announced cuts could have been worse, and corporates are stepping up plans to mitigate carbon, reports NEO. The government is likely to cut its budget supporting renewables development by 22% to RUB313bn ($4.2bn) from 2025-2035, Russia’s Kommersant newspaper reported, citing people familiar with the matter. New US Sanctions Will Not Stop Nord Stream 2 Construction - Experts
Tass.com, March 22, 021: The threat of potential US sanctions against the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline - Nord Stream 2 AG - will not lead to a new suspension of the project or a revision of the timing of its implementation, according to experts interviewed by TASS. Earlier, Bloomberg, citing sources, reported that an insurance company providing services under the project, a number of companies that cooperate with pipelayers, as well as the operator of the project itself, Nord Stream 2 AG, are potentially facing another US sanctions. Foreigners' Share in Russia's Government Bonds Nears Five-year Low as Sanction Fears Increase
Reuters.com, March 25, 2021: The share of foreign investors among holders of Russia’s OFZ treasury bonds fell in February to its lowest since May 2016, data showed on Thursday, and analysts warned it may shrink further amid risks of fresh U.S. sanctions against Moscow. Non-residents held 22.7% of OFZ bonds in circulation as of March 1, down from 23.4% a month earlier, the central bank data showed. A year ago, this share was at nearly 35%. Read more...

Rosneft to Allocate 136 bln Rubles for Environmental Projects at Refineries to 2024
Interfax.com, March 26, 2021: Rosneft plans to allocate around 136 billion rubles for implementing environmental measures at its oil refineries until 2024, the company said in a statement. As part of its plans for environmental measures, the company aims to implement more than 100 projects in the sphere of reducing the negative impact on the environment, minimizing environmental risks, and achieving the targets of its Rosneft 2022 strategy. Plans to Commission Five New Enterprises in Free Economic Zone Brest in 2021
Eng.belta.by, March 23, 2021: There are plans to commission five new enterprises in the free economic zone (FEZ) Brest in 2021, BelTA learned from Deputy Head of the FEZ Brest Administration Aleksandr Shukailo. The resident company OOO BTW-Agro is about to finish an investment project worth over $15 million in Kobrin District. As part of the project the company will commission a mycelium farm. Импорт Нефти и Нефтепродуктов из России в США Достиг Максимума с 2011 года
Kommersant.ru, Март 25, 2021: Объем среднесуточного импорта нефти и нефтепродуктов из России в США в 2020 году составил 538 тыс. барр. в сутки, свидетельствуют данные Управления по энергетической информации Минэнерго США. Это наибольший показатель с 2011 года, тогда он достигал 624 тыс. барр. в сутки. Импорт российской нефти и нефтепродуктов в США в 2020 году составил 7% от среднесуточного.
