ExxonMobil Expands Renewable Fuels Agreement with Global Clean Energy Holdings
Corporate.exxonmobil.com, April 22, 2020: ExxonMobil will be the exclusive buyer of renewable diesel from Global Clean Energy’s biorefinery in Bakersfield, California, which is on schedule to begin production in early 2022. ASTM International and HFES Announce Cooperative Agreement for Exoskeletons
Astm.org, April 20, 2021: Representatives of ASTM International and The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) recently signed a letter of cooperation supporting exoskeleton standards development. The letter of cooperation is intended to encourage technical excellence in exoskeletons and their enabling technologies through the application of standards. Russian Economy Poised for Post-Covid Positive Growth
Russia-briefing.com, April 21, 2021: Russia’s GDP expanded 0.5% in March, data from the Ministry of Economic Development shows. It marks the first monthly growth since the coronavirus pandemic began to affect the Russian economy one year ago. The GDP rate went into positive territory last month after the year-on-year decline seen in January and February, when the Russian economy shrank 2.2% and 2.5% respectively. The economy was still down in quarterly terms, but the decline in GDP slowed to 1.3% compared to a year ago. Read more...

Russia Plans to Launch Own Space Station after Quitting ISS
Reuters.com, April 21, 2021: Russia is ready to start building its own space station with the aim of launching it into orbit by 2030 if President Vladimir Putin gives the go-ahead, the head of its Roscosmos space agency said on Wednesday. ExxonMobil’s Climate Pitch to Biden: A $100B Carbon Project that Greens Hate
Politico.com, April 19, 2021: ExxonMobil says it can help turn President Joe Biden’s climate agenda into reality — if Washington will kick in tax breaks and other assistance for a $100 billion carbon-capture project near Houston. By 2030, the project’s initial phase would capture 50 million tons of carbon dioxide every year from the refineries and petrochemical plants that line the Houston Ship Channel — the heart of the city's oil and gas industry — and store it underground, Chief Executive Darren Woods told POLITICO on Monday. Novatek Again Wants to buy Tambei Fields from Gazprom
1prime.biz, April 19, 2021: Russian independent gas producer Novatek has again discussed at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin the purchase of the huge Tambei group of gas fields from gas giant Gazprom, Kommersant daily reported on Monday citing sources. One of the sources said that Mikhelson has suggested paying for the fields partially in cash, and partially with Novatek’s shares. Gazprom presently holds a 9.99% stake in the company. Read more...

Azerbaijan's Cargo Transportation via TRACECA Hits 6.6m Tons
Azernews.az, April 23, 2021: The volume of cargo transportation in the Azerbaijani section of the transport corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA) amounted to 6.6 million tons in the first two months of 2021, Azertag has reported. During the reported period, 3.7 million tons or 55.9 percent of the cargo transportation was carried out by automobiles, 2.2 million tons or 33.4 percent by rail and 714,000 tons or 10.7 percent by the sea. Forecast for Kazakhstan’s Economic Growth Improved to 3.1 Percent for 2021
Astanatimes.com, April 20, 2021: The forecast for Kazakhstan’s economic growth has been improved from 2.8 percent to 3.1 percent in 2021. This was announced by the Minister of the National Economy Aset Irgaliyev who presented the total forecast of macroeconomic indicators and the draft national budget at the governmental meeting on April 20. The forecast is based on the World Bank’s prognosis that the global economic growth will increase from 1.6 to 5 percent considering the vaccination deployment. Read more...

Акционеры татарстанского производителя получат 15% в объединенной компании в обмен на контрольный пакет ТАИФ. В дальнейшем предполагается, что ТАИФ будет полностью консолидирована в рамках СИБУРа. Rbc.ru, Апрель 19, 2021: Глава НОВАТЭКа Леонид Михельсон на встрече с президентом Владимиром Путиным 13 апреля снова поднял вопрос о необходимости передачи месторождений Тамбейского кластера на Ямале НОВАТЭКу, пишет «Коммерсантъ». Два источника РБК в «Газпроме» слышали о том, что на переговорах с главой компании Александром Миллером на прошлой неделе Михельсон предлагал покупку Тамбейской группы месторождений с запасами 7,3 трлн куб. м. Новак Оценил Будущие Инвестиции в Российскую Нефтегазохимию в $70 млрд
Tass.ru, Апрель 23, 2021: Инвестиции в российском нефтегазохимическом секторе в ближайшие десятилетия составят около $70 млрд, что позволит создать десятки тысяч рабочих мест. Об этом сказал вице-премьер РФ Александр Новак на церемонии подписания соглашения между "Сибуром" и "Таиф" об объединении своих активов. Нефтегазохимическая отрасль является одной из самых быстрорастущих в мире, сказал Новак. Темпы ее развития не менее чем в 1,5 раза превышают экономический рост в целом. Ria.ru, Апрель 20, 2021: Госдума на пленарном заседании во вторник приняла в первом чтении законопроект об ограничении выбросов парниковых газов.
