RNG Procurement LLC – Prompt and High-quality Supply of Equipment and Materials, May 4, 2021: The company provides a range of supply services for RNG Group, as well as all the companies of Eastsib Holding and external enterprises operating in Yakutia. RNG Procurement purchases over 50,000 items worth at least 5 billion rubles annually. In total, over 4,000 contracts have been concluded over the years of its operation. The main suppliers (95 %) are Russian manufacturers. The company turns to foreign partners in exceptional cases when there are no domestic products of a comparable level. Read more...

High Global Demand Sends Russian Urals Crude Oil Price Soaring, May 6, 2021: Russia’s Ministry of Finance said on Wednesday that the average price for domestic Urals oil benchmark stood at $62.50 per barrel in April, which is a 340% increase in annual terms. According to the ministry, in the first four months of the year the average price for the Russian export oil brand was $60.47 per barrel, compared with the average price of $41.04 per barrel during the same period of 2020. Russian Govt to Allocate Over 7 bln Rubles in Subsidies to Exporters of Medicine, Medical Products in 2021-2023, May 7, 2021: The Russian government has adopted support measures in the framework of the International Cooperation and Exports national project for companies that export medicine and medical products. Russia To Expand Free Land Scheme To The Entire Arctic, May 3, 2021: The “Far Eastern Hectare” free land scheme in Russia is to be extended to the entire Arctic region, according to officials at the Project Office for the Development of the Arctic (PORA). The bill to allow this is currently going through the legislative process and is with the State Duma, following the success of the scheme in the Russian Far East. Read more...
BP Quits Development of 2 Oil Fields in Yakutia with Rosneft, May 4, 2021: U.K. oil producer BP has quit development the Srednelenskoye and Olekminskoye deposits in the Yakutia republic in the framework of its joint venture with Rosneft, Srednelenskoye said in a report Tuesday. The joint venture with Rosneft Yermak Neftegaz owns Srednelenskoye, which holds the licenses for the two fields. Russia's Business and Consumer Confidence Surveys Delivered Very Positive Results, May 4, 2021: Spirits in Russia are picking up as both Rosstat’s business and consumer confidence surveys delivered very positive results. The consumer confidence index, which reflects the aggregate consumer expectations of the population, in the first quarter of 2021 compared to the fourth quarter of 2020 increased by 5 percentage points (pp) and amounted to -21% – its best result in a year. 47,000 SME Projects to Receive Preferential Lending in 2021, May 5, 2021: In 2021, 47,000 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will receive preferential lending, said Kazakh Minister of National Economy Aset Irgaliyev at a May 4 government meeting. Irgaliyev spoke about the measures being passed to support SMEs amid the pandemic. In 2020 the SMEs produced goods worth 32.7 trillion tenge (US$76.3 billion). Read more...
Azerbaijan Railways Boosts Cargo Transportation in 1Q2021, May 4, 2021: Azerbaijan Railways transported 3.7 million tons of cargo in the first quarter of 2021, which is 7 percent more compared to the same period of last year, local media has reported. Of the total cargo transportation, 1.9 million tons accounted for international shipments. During the reported period, the volume of transit traffic increased by 10.9 percent, reaching 1.2 million tons, while domestic freight traffic decreased by 18.6 percent to 582,300 tons. Read more...
Launch of New Investment Cycle Described as Matter of National Importance for Belarus, May 6, 2021: The launch of a new investment cycle is a task of national importance. The task was formulated by the head of state during the 6th Belarusian People's Congress. Over Br200 billion will have to be invested over the course of five years in order to reach the targeted growth parameters. To this effect the Economy Ministry is working with other government agencies to put together a set of measures. The work is expected to secure an increase in investments in the economy up to 23% of the GDP in 2025, Belarusian Economy Minister Aleksandr Chervyakov told BelTA in an interview. Read more...

Банк России не Исключил Очередного Всплеска COVID-19, Способного Навредить Экономике, Май 4, 2021: Банк России не исключает очередного ухудшения эпидемической обстановки, способного существенно повлиять на восстановление экономики РФ. Россия Сократила Долю Доллара и Евро в Резервах, Май 6, 2021: Банк России в 2020 году снизил долю евро, доллара и фунта стерлингов в международных резервах страны в пользу золота, юаня и прочих валют, следует из годового отчета регулятора. Так, доля евро в международных резервах за прошлый год сократилась на 1,6 процентного пункта и на 1 января составила 29,2%, доля доллара – на 3,3 процентного пункта, до 21,2%. Немного снизился "вес" фунта стерлингов в золотовалютных резервах – на 0,2 процентного пункта, до 6,3%. Читать далее...
