Lukoil and ROSATOM Conclude Cooperation Agreement

Lukoil.com, June 3, 2021: President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov and Director General of ROSATOM Alexey Likhachev held a meeting today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and signed a Cooperation Agreement. The document provides for collaboration in import substitution and development of cooperation at Russian and global markets. The parties will join efforts to work on renewable energy and carbon-free technologies, develop and implement environmentally friendly and digital solutions, as well as create equipment and services for Russian fuel and energy complex. The agreement puts a premium on use of composites, motor oil and fuels (including those suitable for cold climate), production of polymer materials, fine and specialty chemicals, second- and third-generation biofuels. ASTM International Unveils Annual Report, Highlights Collaborative PPE Forum at Business Meeting

Newsroom.astm.org, June 1, 2021: Global standards organization ASTM International held its annual business meeting today. The virtual event celebrated last year’s standards development successes, including efforts to support the fight against COVID-19, and unveiled the 2020 annual report. At the event, 2021 Board Chair John R. Logar previewed the annual report, entitled “Resilience”. The report highlights the organization’s continued development of standards in the innovative fields of commercial spaceflight, drones, exo technologies, additive manufacturing, and more. It also details ASTM International’s efforts to support global health by offering no-cost access to standards used in the production and testing of personal protective equipment (PPE). Read more...

Russia's Sakhalin Energy Shuts Biggest Production Platform for Maintenance

Reuters.com, June 1, 2021: Russian liquefied natural gas producer (LNG) Sakhalin Energy said on Tuesday it would halt the Piltun-Astokhskaya-B (PA-B) offshore oil and gas production platform for planned annual maintenance for a month. The PA-B platform is the first this year to shut for planned maintenance among the production assets of LNG plant Sakhalin-2, the company said. Read more...
Foreign Manufacturers In Russia May Need To Comply With Digital Source Of Overseas Origin Requirements

Russia-briefing.com, June 3, 2021: Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development (MED) intends launching a new system of control over foreign factories that manufacture consumer products which are then sold in Russia. It does not affect manufacturers in Russia from EAEU nations. The impact however is expected to be significant as this will affect every second imported product sold in the country. The MED wants to ensure whether the Russian side has carried out all the necessary checks on these components. From September 1, the MED wants importers to digitally identify their overseas production sites, including their geographic coordinates, which will allow them to be found using GLONASS signals. The system will automatically check whether the production has passed all the stages of required checks. Read more...

Россия Вошла в Тройку Поставщиков Нефти в США
