Sulzer Enabling Production of 70’000 Tonnes of Biomass Pellets Per Year – a Carbon-Neutral Alternative to Coal
Sulzer.com/en, September 27, 2021: The innovative EU-funded Arbaflame project is aiming to produce 70’000 tonnes biomass-based combustibles per year to enable clean power generation. The biomass pellets are made of wood and can be used as a 100% sustainable alternative to coal in power plants to produce carbon-neutral power. Sulzer Chemtech’s separation equipment will play a key role in Arbaflame’s pellet production process, minimizing energy usage while maximizing the recovery of highly useful chemicals generated as by-products in the process, further supporting the circular economy. ExxonMobil and Rosneft to Cooperate in Carbon Management
Corporate.exxonmobil.com, September 29, 2021: ExxonMobil and Rosneft have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate on the assessment of lower-carbon technologies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from their operations. Income Taxes for Foreigners Investing in Russian Stocks May Be Reduced from 30% To 13%
Russia-briefing.com, October 1, 2021: Income Tax rates from investments in Russia’s stock market by foreign nationals can be reduced from the current 30% to 13%, according to Ivan Chebeskov, Director of the Financial Policy Department of the Ministry of Finance in comments made to Izvestia. Intellinews.com, October 1, 2021: Russia’s headline seasonally adjusted IHS Markit Russia Manufacturing PMI improved to 49.8 in September, up from 46.5 in August, signalling only a fractional deterioration in the health of the Russian manufacturing sector.
