Gazprom and Russian Government Sign Agreement of Intent on Hydrogen Energy

Gazprom.com, October 13, 2021: ​Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, and Oleg Aksyutin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee – Head of Department at Gazprom, today signed at Russian Energy Week International Forum 2021 an Agreement of Intent aimed at advancing the hi-tech area of activity “Development of hydrogen energy and decarbonization of industry and transport on the basis of natural gas” in the Russian Federation. Shell Announces Changes to Executive Committee

Shell.com, October 15, 2021: Royal Dutch Shell plc (“Shell”) today announces the appointments of Wael Sawan as Integrated Gas and Renewable and Energy Solutions (R&ES) Director and Zoë Yujnovich as Upstream Director. Both appointments are effective 25th October 2021. Wael, currently Upstream Director, will remain a member of the Executive Committee in his new role and will continue to be based in the Netherlands. He takes over as Integrated Gas and R&ES Director from Maarten Wetselaar, who will leave the company after more than 25 years of distinguished service on 25th October. ExxonMobil to Build Its First Large-scale Plastic Waste Advanced Recycling Facility

Corporate.exxonmobil.com, October 11, 2021: ExxonMobil plans to build its first, large-scale plastic waste advanced recycling facility in Baytown, Texas, and is expected to start operations by year-end 2022. By recycling plastic waste back into raw materials that can be used to make plastic and other valuable products, the technology could help address the challenge of plastic waste in the environment. Rogtecmagazine.com, October 14, 2021: During the Russian Energy Week-2021 (REW), a meeting was held between Igor Sechin, Chief Executive Officer of Rosneft, and Bernard Looney, Chief Executive Officer of BP. The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation development, including the possibility of gas supplies to Europe under an export contract between the companies.The parties also discussed possible creation of a joint venture to develop infrastructure for refueling vehicles with natural gas in the Russian Federation. Rosneft Sells 5% Stake in Arctic Oil Project to Commodity Traders

Themoscowtimes.com, October 14, 2021: Russia’s state-controlled oil giant Rosneft has sold a 5% stake in an ambitious Arctic oil project to two commodity trading houses based in Switzerland and Singapore. Rosneft’s mega Vostok Oil project will tap into Russia’s vast hydrocarbon resources in the Arctic north and is set to pump more than 700 million barrels of oil a year by 2030, according to company estimates.
