All net proceeds from the 56th Petroushka Ball will be directed towards the Russian Children's Welfare Society (RCWS) charitable programs. Founded in 1926, the RCWS is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children at risk in Russia.

St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF)

|
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is a unique event in the world of business and economics. SPIEF has been held since 1997, and since 2006, it has been held under the auspices of the President of the Russian Federation, who has also attended each event.
Over the last 24 years, the Forum has become a leading global platform for members of the business community to meet and discuss the key economic issues facing Russia, emerging markets, and the world as a whole.
The 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is set to take place on 15–18 June 2022. As in previous years, the business program will focus on the global and Russian economies, social issues, and technological development.
The Forum will be held in strict accordance with health and safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, carefully drawn up by the Organizing Committee in line with the WHO recommendations. SPIEF 2022 will provide a full range of services to enable participants to effectively nurture and expand their business network and enjoy safe, productive participation, including in an enriching cultural and sporting program.

Shell Signs Gas Concession Agreement for Block 10 in Oman
Shell.com, December 21, 2021: Shell Integrated Gas Oman BV, a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc, along with its partners, OQ and Marsa Liquefied Natural Gas LLC (a joint venture between TotalEnergies and OQ), have signed a concession agreement with the Ministry of Energy and Minerals on behalf of the government of the Sultanate of Oman to develop and produce natural gas from Block 10. The parties also signed a separate gas sales agreement for gas produced from the block. The two agreements follow an interim upstream agreement signed in February 2019. Read more...

LUKOIL and Rusatom Overseas Reach Agreement to Study Project of Green Hydrogen Production for Romanian Petrotel-LUKOIL S.A. Refinery
Lukoil.com, December 23, 2021: PJSC LUKOIL and Rusatom Overseas JSC (part of the ROSATOM Group) signed a memorandum of intent on the development of cooperation regarding production and supply of green hydrogen for PETROTEL-LUKOIL S.A. refinery located in the city of Ploesti, Romania. The parties plan to study opportunities for construction of a green hydrogen production unit at the refinery, thus reducing CO2 emissions, as well as to look into the issue of obtaining government support for the project at both national and European levels. Rosneft Approves New Strategy as Step Toward 2050 Net Zero Emissions

Putin: Russia’s GDP Should Increase by 4.5% in 2021
1prime.biz, December 23, 2021: Russia’s gross domestic product (GDP) should rise by 4.5% in 2021, President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday during an annual news conference. Russia’s inflation should amount to 8% this year, and the foreign trade surplus should almost double to U.S. $184 billion from $94 billion in 2020. Oil Prices Rise as API Confirms Crude Inventory Draw
Oilprice.com, December 21, 2021: This week, the American Petroleum Institute (API) estimated the inventory draw for crude oil to be 3.670 million barrels. Foreign Direct Investments in National Economy Hit $60bn
Azernews.az, December 21, 2021: Export and Investment Promotion Foundation Acting Head Yusif Abdullayev has said that the foreign direct investments in Azerbaijan's economy amounted to about $60 billion in the past few years, Trend has reported. PA Approves Draft Budget of Belarus-Russia Union State for 2022
Eng.belta.by, December 23, 2021: The Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia adopted the draft budget of the Union State for 2022. The document passed the second meeting at the 61st session of the Parliamentary Assembly in Moscow on 23 December, BelTA has learned. Revenues of the 2022 Union State budget have been approved at RUB4,598.9 billion. Major revenues will be made of the annual contributions of Belarus (RUB1,534.5 billion) and Russia (RUB2,850.3 billion). Read more...

Kommersant.ru, Декабрь 22, 2021: Авиакомпания S7 первой в России выполнила рейс на альтернативном топливе. Ее самолет совершил полет из Тулузы в Москву. Лайнер был заправлен смесью SAF (sustainable aviation fuel), в которой 10% биотоплива. Рейс выполнил самолет Airbus модификации NEO. Он благополучно приземлился в Домодедово.
