All net proceeds from the 56th Petroushka Ball will be directed towards the Russian Children's Welfare Society (RCWS) charitable programs. Founded in 1926, the RCWS is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children at risk in Russia.

St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF)
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is a unique event in the world of business and economics. SPIEF has been held since 1997, and since 2006, it has been held under the auspices of the President of the Russian Federation, who has also attended each event.
Over the last 24 years, the Forum has become a leading global platform for members of the business community to meet and discuss the key economic issues facing Russia, emerging markets, and the world as a whole.
The 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is set to take place on 15–18 June 2022. As in previous years, the business program will focus on the global and Russian economies, social issues, and technological development.
The Forum will be held in strict accordance with health and safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, carefully drawn up by the Organizing Committee in line with the WHO recommendations. SPIEF 2022 will provide a full range of services to enable participants to effectively nurture and expand their business network and enjoy safe, productive participation, including in an enriching cultural and sporting program.

Novak Sees $65-$80/Barrel as Comfortable Oil Price for Russia in 2022

Interfax.com, December 29, 2021: An oil price in the range of $65-$80 per barrel will be comfortable for Russia next year, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said in an interview with RBC. "Right now the oil price is about $75 per barrel. For us, a price of $65-$80 per barrel will be comfortable next year. I am intentionally taking such a large range, because volatility on the market is not being ruled out. In principle, our budget in 2021 balances at $43.30 per barrel and $44.20 is factored in for 2022, while the socioeconomic development forecast anticipates higher prices," Novak said. Read more...

New Industrial Projects and Investments to Contribute to Almaty City’s Economic Growth

Astanatimes.com, December 28, 2021: Seven projects have been launched at the Almaty Industrial Zone, reported head of the industrial zone Adil Amralin at the Dec. 27 press conference. The projects, worth more than 48 billion tenge (US$110 million), will create 749 workplaces. In February, a plant for the production of copper and aluminum wire rod worth more than 11.3 billion tenge (US$26 million) was opened. The list of projects also includes two plants for the production of autoclaved aerated concrete. The companies supply large social and commercial housing developers with building materials. Rbc.ru, Декабрь 30, 2021: Fitch Ratings впервые присвоило компании «Яндекс» долгосрочный рейтинг дефолта эмитента (РДЭ) на уровне BBB со стабильным прогнозом. Об этом сообщается на сайте агентства. Присвоив «Яндексу» кредитный рейтинг на уровне BBB, Fitch отнес компанию к инвестиционной категории с хорошим кредитным статусом — это означает, что платежеспособность оценивается как хорошая, однако ее могут ухудшить неблагоприятные экономические и деловые условия.
