All net proceeds from the 56th Petroushka Ball will be directed towards the Russian Children's Welfare Society (RCWS) charitable programs. Founded in 1926, the RCWS is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children at risk in Russia.

St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF)
The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is a unique event in the world of business and economics. SPIEF has been held since 1997, and since 2006, it has been held under the auspices of the President of the Russian Federation, who has also attended each event.
Over the last 24 years, the Forum has become a leading global platform for members of the business community to meet and discuss the key economic issues facing Russia, emerging markets, and the world as a whole.
The 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum is set to take place on 15–18 June 2022. As in previous years, the business program will focus on the global and Russian economies, social issues, and technological development.
The Forum will be held in strict accordance with health and safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, carefully drawn up by the Organizing Committee in line with the WHO recommendations. SPIEF 2022 will provide a full range of services to enable participants to effectively nurture and expand their business network and enjoy safe, productive participation, including in an enriching cultural and sporting program.

ExxonMobil Makes Two Discoveries Offshore Guyana

Corporate.exxonmobil.com, January 5, 2022: ExxonMobil today said it made two oil discoveries at Fangtooth-1 and Lau Lau-1 in the Stabroek block offshore Guyana. The Fangtooth-1 well encountered approximately 164 feet (50 meters) of high-quality oil-bearing sandstone reservoirs. The well was drilled in 6,030 feet (1,838 meters) of water and is located approximately 11 miles (18 kilometers) northwest of the Liza field. The Lau Lau-1 well encountered approximately 315 feet (96 meters) of high-quality hydrocarbon-bearing sandstone reservoirs. The well was drilled in 4,793 feet (1,461 meters) of water and is located approximately 42 miles (68 kilometers) southeast of the Liza field. Read more...

In 2021, we produced 514.8 billion cubic meters of gas. This is the best result in the last 13 years. It topped the 2020 result by 62.2 billion cubic meters. Gazprom Neft: Establishes a New Production Centre in the North of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug

Rogtecmagazine.com, January 3, 2022: Gazprom Neft has commissioned oil production infrastructure at its Pestsovoye and En-Yakhinskoye fields in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Putin: Nord Stream 2 Is Loaded With Gas And Ready To Deliver

Oilprice.com, December 30, 2021: On Wednesday Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that the Nord Stream 2 pipeline to Germany is fully ready and prepared to start pumping gas exports, amid a continued hold-up in regulatory approval on the German side. Hailing the completion of the $11 billion natural gas pipeline which the US had long worked to block, Putin told a government meeting which was attended by Gazprom head Alexei Miller, "I’d like to congratulate Gazprom and your partners in Nord Stream 2 on the completion of work and the creation of this additional large trunk-route and that it is ready for work," according to Reuters. Read more...
Russia’s Business Owners Fear Kremlin Pressure Set to Tighten

Russia’s Reserves Ended 2021 at an All-time High of $630.5bn

Intellinews.com, January 3, 2022: Russia’s gross international reserves (GIR) ended 2021 at an all-time high of $630.5bn, reports the Central Bank of Russia (CBR). Russia has been storing up cash as a way of insuring itself against sanctions. Reserves rose by $33.1bn over the course of 2021, starting from $597.4bn as of January 1, 2021, and now account for 38% of the 2021 GDP – the fourth-largest reserves in the world. Read more...
Russia’s Weak December Oil Production Signals Lack of Capacity

Worldoil.com, January 2, 2022: Russia failed to boost oil output last month despite a generous ramp-up quota in its OPEC+ agreement, indicating the country has deployed all of its current available production capacity. Russian companies pumped 46.11 million tons of crude oil and condensate last month, according to preliminary data from the Energy Ministry’s CDU-TEK unit.
