A landmark event in the energy industry’s calendar, and the world’s largest meeting place for the global gas, LNG, hydrogen and energy value chain, Gastech 2022 will take place from 5-8 September, at Fiera Milano, Italy.

ExxonMobil Elects Matt Furman as Vice President, Public and Government Affairs; Suzanne McCarron to Retire

This marks the 27th consecutive year of publishing the industry-leading annual report. It provides new content and expert analysis on additive manufacturing (AM) and 3D printing worldwide. Home.treasury.gov, March 16, 2022: Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen and Attorney General Merrick B. Garland today met virtually with representatives from Australia, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the European Commission, to launch the Russian Elites, Proxies, and Oligarchs (REPO) multilateral task force. Russia's 2050 Decarbonisation Plans in Doubt Amid Sanctions -Kommersant
Reuters.com, March 17, 2022: Russia's energy ministry believes Western sanctions over Ukraine could prevent the country from achieving plans to cut carbon emissions by 2050, the Kommersant newspaper said on Thursday. The ministry has developed a plan to support Russia's vast energy sector amid the sanctions, including tax cuts and the possibility of dropping dividends, the paper added. Read more...

Minister: Russia Believes in Foreign Business Return
1prime.biz, March 14, 2022: The Economic Development Ministry assumes that a significant part of foreign businesses will return to working in Russia after they have rebuilt their supply chains, Minister Maxim Reshetnikov told reporters on Monday. “We assume that a significant part of business will return to working in Russia after rebuilding the (supply) chains. Our market has not vanished, these companies have been making money here for a long time, they had profitable businesses in our country, and it allows us to hope that the situation will normalize,” he said. Russia Makes Bond Payment, Avoids Default – Finance Ministry
Themoscowtimes.com, March 17, 2022: Russia has completed a closely watched bond payment, the Finance Ministry said Thursday, avoiding what would have been the country’s first default on its foreign debt obligations in more than a century. “A payment order for the payment of coupon income on the Russian Federation’s external bond loans … in the total amount of $117.2 million … was sent to a foreign correspondent bank on March 14, 2022 and has been executed,” the Finance Ministry said in a statement. US Slashed Oil Import from Russia fourfold from March 5 to 11
Tass.com, March 16, 2022: The United States continued oil imports from Russia but lowered deliveries nearly fourfold on a week basis to 38,000 barrels daily, according to data of the US Energy Information Administration (EIA). Lukoil Sees Opportunities to Sustain Production Levels Amid Restrictions

Russian Law Prepares Path for Nationalisation of Foreign Companies
Intellinews.com, March 16, 2022: Russia has passed legislation to place foreign companies which have exited Russia under “external management”. Under the new rules, any company of which more than 25% is owned by foreigners can be brought under temporary administration if the management takes decisions that could lead to an “unjustified” cessation of activities. Interfax.ru, Март 18, 2022: Президент Владимир Путин подписал указ "О дополнительных временных мерах экономического характера по обеспечению финансовой стабильности Российской Федерации в сфере валютного регулирования", который существенно дополнил созданную в последние недели систему валютного контроля. В частности, экспортеры получили возможность по разрешению властей отклоняться от нормы продажи валютной выручки в размере 80%, а также уменьшать этот лимит на сумму погашения валютных долгов перед российскими банками. МЭА Ждет Падения Добычи Нефти в России на 30%
Vedomosti.ru, Март 16, 2022: Из–за специальной военной операции России на Украине и связанных с ней перебоев с поставками нефти мировой спрос на нее в 2022 г. увеличится лишь на 2,1 млн баррелей в сутки (б/с), сообщается в мартовском отчете Международного энергетического агентства (МЭА).
