A Community Tennis Association or CTA, is a grassroots volunteer organization devoted to growing the game of tennis in their area. In Kentucky, there are currently 26 unique CTA's across the state. Some CTA's are single purpose and operate only to offer adult or junior programs and others offer a broad range of programming of all types for all ages. These groups are volunteer driven and exist to serve the tennis players in their area. If you play in a USTA Adult League, it is administered by a CTA in that area.
Volunteers keep CTA's successful. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved ranging from serving on a board or committee to helping at a CTA event. To give back to the game that has given you so much, please visit http://www.ustaky.com/cta/about.htm. |

USTA Kentucky has one goal in particular: tennis for people of all ages and abilities in every community in Kentucky. Whether you are a tennis organizer or player, USTA Kentucky is the perfect source of information and support for all tennis endeavors. Every year we sanction over 100 tournaments for all levels, support over 50 competitive and recreational leagues, provide multiple program and clinic options for all ages and ability levels and give over $77,000 in grants-all to connect Kentucky to tennis! USTA Kentucky was established in 1910 and has a current membership of over 9,900. A not-for-profit organization, policy is formed and much of the organization's work is executed via a board and committee structure of volunteers. A skilled staff, housed in Louisville, complements the volunteer structure and is charged with carrying out the daily operations and goals of the organization.
