USVIHTA and VIPCA Day Charter Conference and Mixer
Thank you to those members who joined USVIHTA and the VI Professional Charter Association on Nov. 14 at Yacht Haven Grande for a Membership Mixer in conjunction with the Day Charter Conference. It was a great networking opportunity for attendees who shared business updates and 2020 projections. Check back next week for photos!
Partner with My Brother’s Workshop for GivingTuesday
Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, and fueled by the power of social media and collaboration, GivingTuesday inspires millions of people across the globe to give back to causes and issues that matter to them. GivingTuesday takes place on Dec. 3 this year. My Brother’s Workshop hopes to partner with local businesses for Giving Tuesday with partners committing to donating to MBW in some way on Dec. 3. Some partners may pledge to donate a percentage of sales, accept donations by customers and offer a matching amount, etc. Read the full letter from MBW here . St. Thomas has been named the number one cruise destination in the Caribbean. The "Best Caribbean Cruise Destination" honor was bestowed upon the island by Porthole Cruise Magazine's readers in its 21st Annual Readers' Choice Awards, the results of which are published in the November/December 2019 issue. Sponsor and Participate in the Annual St. Thomas Lighted Boat Parade
The annual St. Thomas Lighted Boat Parade will be held on Dec. 20 along the Charlotte Amalie Waterfront. Vessels from throughout the marine community are invited to participate as a private charter or just for fun! There will be cash prizes of $500, $250 and $100 for the top three judged entries as well as fuel coupons for each boat. Advertising and promotional opportunities are available for sponsors which include print and social media advertising, banners along the waterfront or on an individual vessel, and radio and television coverage. We are hoping for 35 entries with promotional exposure to several thousand local spectators along the parade route. A minimum amount of $250 will allow for your company’s name and/or product placement at the awards after-party hosted by Tickles Dockside Pub.
