USVIHTA Update | September 2020
Greetings Members,

As we prepare to reopen the territory, please encourage all travelers to visit the travel screening portal on usviupdate.com. Completing the portal form ensures that travelers' information will be vetted prior to arrival, and they will receive clearance that they will only have to show at the airport. If they don’t use the portal, they will have to complete the health screening at the airport and show the negative PCR test or a positive antibody test upon arrival.

VIPCA Update: New - 2020 Yacht Show Features Online Element!
The show will go on! Show organizers know that nothing beats a physical yacht show to showcase any vessel and crew combination to charter brokers, which is why VIPCA is hosting the four-day event at Yacht Haven Grande Nov. 12-15 this year with rigorous COVID-19 safety protocols and a digital element for those brokers who decide to stay home. The digital element could never replace attending the event in person, and at this time the USVI is on track to reopen to tourism with the go-ahead for term-yacht charters from Sept. 19 with day charters recommencing operation Sept. 8. It is also unlikely that a government shutdown will reoccur in the territory in November owing to such a successful hurricane season lockdown and reduction of local cases of the Coronavirus.
