Thank you St. George and SLC attendees!
We had a great time at our St. George and Salt Lake City Volunteer Management Training sessions! Our attendees brought great energy, and were able to learn from our trainers, as well as engaging guest speakers. We are excited to see all our attendees take what they have learned back to their organizations and communities. We love seeing volunteer programs thrive and grow!
AmeriCorps Member of the Month
Antoinette Romano
Antoinette is an AmeriCorps member serving with the Senior Charity Care Foundation. She joined in January of 2018 and has taken on the role of the main point of contact for the audiology program. She has assisted dozens of seniors with warmth, charm, and a genuine concern for each individual. All this she does while juggling a demanding career and commuting from Grantsville every day she comes in. The Senior Charity Care Foundation would not be the same without her setting a standard of service and passion far above and beyond her commitment to AmeriCorps service. Her care and attitude permeates throughout our program, and inspires us all to remember the seniors we serve and put them first in everything we do.
AmeriCorps , also known as the Domestic Peace Corps, engages thousands of Americans nationwide in intensive, results-driven service in areas of education, public safety, health, and the environment. AmeriCorps members serve for up to a year and receive a modest living allowance, training, and an education scholarship to pay for college or pay back student loans.
