Security Updates
As of July, all our web pages are secure and begin with "HTTPS" and show the little locked padlock icon Padlock icon. But some web browsers were still displaying warnings on certain pages … mostly our product "Landing Pages". It turned out that some trivial code on those pages needed updating for all web browsers to be "satisfied". Those updates were completed in early September. If you do see any browser warnings on these, or any other pages, please let me know.

750 FailSafe Bracket

This FailSafe Bracket replaces the original Failsafe Return Bracket (#62325) on Dillon XL 750 presses. Slotted screw holes allow the Powder Measure to be rotated enough (about 12 degrees) that the powder bar clears bullet droppers, micrometer seat dies and other extra-tall dies in Stations 3 & 4.

FailSafe Bracket (replaces #62325)
Brass Shoulder Washer (replaces #18086)
2, 3-32x1/2″ Button Head Screw (replaces #14689)

SliX Shotshell Checker/Sizer Combo
SliX-Sizer

The SliX Shotshell Checker/Sizer Combo combines the original SliX-Sizer with a case gauge. Insert your shotshell into one end to round out the crimp, then insert it onto the other end to gauge the entire shell. Doing this avoids the infamous "Stuck Hull" in double barrel shotguns. It also makes loading smoother and faster with both double barrel and pump shotguns.

Q: I've recently started having problems with small primers not feeding smoothly in my XL 650 press. I've inspected and cleaned everything in the primer feed system and even measured this batch of primers but still have the occasional hangup ... especially when the primer level is low. I've had this press for many years and never had this problem. Should I try adding weight to the Primer Rod?

A: Adding weight might make your primers feed better but, since this is a new problem on your press, it is always best to find and correct the root cause of the problem. You said that you cleaned everything but did that include cleaning the inside of the Primer Magazine Tube? If not, try running a bore patch dampened with rubbing alcohol down the tube. You can use the Primer Follower Rod to push the patch through. Run a dry patch through and make certain it has had enough time to be perfectly dry before reinstalling in your press. I got into the habit of doing this about once a year on my own 650 press.

R: Followed your instructions and was amazed at how much grunge came out of the primer magazine tube. But then its never been cleaned it in the life of the press. The primers do seem to feed better now but have only loaded a few dozen rounds to test it. Will let you know if it is completely fixed or not after my next reloading session.
