T-STEM Academy
Inspire. Challenge. Equip.
Did you know that when your son/daughter is a senior, they will be graduating from one of less than 20 high schools in Memphis that participate in UT Knoxville's Promise Scholarship? The Promise Scholarship, when combined with the HOPE and other university scholarships, will provide funds to assist with tuition and fees for up to four years (eight semesters) on the Knoxville campus.
The UT Promise Scholarship program is the only one of its kind in the state. Any new first-year student who is admitted and enrolls at UT from one of the eligible high schools will receive the Promise Scholarship.
We are the first school in all of North America to have the TEC program! What does this mean for your son/daughter? This means that they are a part of a movement! Education and business partners from around the world have their eyes on our students!
This means greater exposure, more opportunities, and a greater focus on making sure we have the best educational tools we can provide.

Meet the Teacher Night
was a HUGE Success!
We had over 200 people here to meet our staff! Great news! A study done by the Educational Review Journal synthesized the results of nine meta-analyses that examined the impact of attending activities like these, and the results indicated that the relationship between parental involvement and academic achievement was positive, regardless of a definition of parental involvement or measure of achievement. This means that when you come to meetings, attend sporting events, or set up appointments to meet with teachers, your son/daughter actually performs better than if you had not been involved. So, go on and pat your self on the back! If you were unable to make the meeting, however, you will have another opportunity on September 13th! This is Parent/Teacher Conference night. More details on how to sign up will be forthcoming.
