Meet Dr. Ericka Walker Williams
New UT Southwestern at RedBird Primary Care Physician

As an expert in primary care, Ericka Walker Williams, M.D. has a commitment to advocating for better health and serving the community. She is on the front lines of helping her patients prevent diseases, as well as navigate health issues from diabetes and lupus to COVID-19. Dr. Walker Williams is excited to be part of the care team that will begin serving patients at UT Southwestern at RedBird on July 18.
Clinical expertise: Board-certified in internal medicine and fellowship trained in rheumatology, Dr. Walker Williams has special expertise in treating Type 2 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and systemic lupus.
Education: After graduating from Spelman College cum laude, she earned her medical degree from Meharry Medical College and completed her internship at George Washington University. She did her residency at Los Angeles County/USC in internal medicine, and then completed a fellowship in rheumatology and immunology at UT Southwestern.
Career: She is a member of the American College of Physicians and a member of the C.V. Roman Medical Society. Prior to joining UT Southwestern at RedBird, she was on staff at Parkland Memorial Hospital, where she worked in the Division of Family Medicine.
Community ties: Dr. Walker Williams volunteers with the medical ministry of Concord Church in Dallas, where she regularly participates in community outreach inside and beyond the church walls.
Family: She resides in Grand Prairie with her husband and three children.
