State-of-the-Art CT and MRI Equipment Arrive

Two of the most sophisticated and versatile imaging tools in modern medicine have been installed at UT Southwestern Medical Center at RedBird in anticipation of our July 2022 opening.

Our CT, or computed tomography, machine can capture precise pictures of the lungs, heart, colon, and other vital organs – all with minimal radiation and zero-breath holds for patients.

Our MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scanner – the first of two that will be at RedBird – will provide high-definition scans of the heart, prostate, and breast tissue, as well as bones and the brain.

In addition, UTSW at RedBird will offer 3D mammography, ultrasound and general radiography, among other advanced imaging options.

Designed for maximum patient comfort, all of our state-of-the-art imaging equipment will help our physicians deliver the best possible care to our RedBird patients.
