The news from our department this month comes from all directions. From our educators, we are introduced to our new clinical psychology graduate students, ready to start working on their Ph.Ds. at their arrival in July. Welcome to each of these learners! And the same welcome applies to our new faculty and staff. The awards and accomplishments come from across our divisions, from Sebastian Choi, Ph.D., for example, who received a prestigious, 3-year award from the Whitehall Foundation, to the awards given to Kimberly Roaten, Ph.D., Darlene King, M.D., Veronica Bordes Edgar, Ph.D., and Jessica Orobio, a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology. Our faculty and our staff are out in the local, state, and even national communities, each doing what they do best. Each of us represents our department and school with our work, and altogether we demonstrate the extremely talented and committed people in the department of psychiatry improving mental health and treating psychiatric disorders.
