Poster Proposals Are Due March 15
You are warmly invited to submit a proposal for inclusion in the 2022 GA Poster Fair. Stories, initiatives, and examples of inspiring work in Unitarian Universalism will be featured in the Virtual Poster Fair, available to GA registrants through the General Assembly App by Whova. Selections will be made based on the quality of proposals, embrace of diversity and inclusion, potential to provide attendees with concrete and usable tools, and the balance of multiple identity-based and theological perspectives. The proposal deadline is Tuesday, March 15.
Announcing Service of the Living Tradition Music Director and Worship Leader
We are pleased to announce Dr. Glen Thomas Rideout as the Music Director and Rev. Jacquelune Duhart as the Worship Leader for the 2022 Service of the Living Tradition. The Service of the Living Tradition is Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 4 pm PT / 5 pm MT / 6 pm CT / 7 pm ET. The video stream of the service will be available to the public on UUA.org. GA registration and proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required to attend in-person in Portland.
Known for his deeply collaborative creation of worship services for congregations and national gatherings, Dr. Glen Thomas Rideout teaches worship design at Meadville Lombard Theological School. A musician, writer, teacher, and theologian, Rideout was choir director for 2016 GA in Columbus, Ohio.
Pastor Jacqueline K. Duhart serves as the Director of Spiritual Care Services at Starr King School for the Ministry. Her commitment to deepening her personal relationship with all that feeds life and the common good is fierce. Daily she communes with: ancestors/angels, gurus/guides, sacred stories/diverse theologies, sages/spirits, nature, science, Goddess/Gods and that which is un-namable and yet to be named in her relentless efforts to usher in radical inclusive love and genuine respect. Michael Sallwasser
Introducing Michael Sallwasser, GA Systemic Justice Team Lead 
Michael Sallwasser chairs the Racial Justice Team at his home congregation, UUC Long Beach and serves on the Coordinating Committee for the UU Accessibility and Inclusion Ministry. Previously, he co-chaired the UUA Journey Toward Wholeness Transformation Committee. This is his second year as co-lead of the Systemic Justice Team for GA.

The GA Systemic Justice Team assists registered attendees from currently and/or historically marginalized communities in creating structural change by providing access and advocacy to challenge and change oppressive structures and/or systems.

UUA Commission on Social Witness Spring Convening

Get ready to engage with Social Witness statements at GA 2022! Join the UUA Commission on Social Witness 2022 Spring Convening happening Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 7 PM ET / 4PM PT.

This 2.5 hour event will look at what UUs have done on the four statements passed last year and see what actions and statements might pass this year. UU leaders from around the country will share their successes and struggles so that we can learn and help each other to embody our goal of shared liberation.

Safety and Wellness in Portland
In compliance with UUA and Oregon Convention Center guidelines, entry to General Assembly 2022 in Portland, OR is open to people who are fully vaccinated. Additionally, the OCC’s requirement of vaccination extends to all contracted service providers working in the facility. In addition, masking is required and physically distanced seating options will be reserved in our meeting spaces.


The Oregon Convention Center’s COVID-19 Safety Measures page provides parameters by which our GA safety policy is built upon. All GA attendees are required to provide proof of Covid-19 Vaccination for in-person attendance. Exceptions will not be granted for unvaccinated attendees with negative test results. Alternatively, unvaccinated attendees are welcome to register and participate virtually. This policy is congruent with the UUA’s pandemic strategies.

Registration is now open for in-person attendance and virtual attendance. Financial support for registration, lodging credit within the GA housing block, as well as a payment plan are available. In-person registration rates will increase on March 15 and again on May 1. Virtual registration rates will increase on May 1.
