Speaking of contributions, this Sunday we joyfully launch the campaign of “love offerings.” That is, it is the annual Stewardship drive at UUC. Join us in the days ahead as we dream and prepare for the future.

Worship Associate is Sue Hand

On Sunday, February 12, 2023, The service will include the Water Ingathering Ceremony, Water is a basic necessity. It is precious. So too is this ceremony because it is symbolic, recognizing hat waters and streams travel to make oceans. We too travel from far away places to join together in a UU gathering in joy. Please bring a small container, no more than a 1/4 cup, of water from a source important to you to share in a central vessel for others to contribute as well. If you are too far away from the source, a pitcher of water will be provided to symbolically represent your special place.

Sunday, February 12th

11:30 to 1:30 in the Social Hall

The Tapestry Covenant Group is hosting a Potluck Lunch after the service to welcome Rev Amy, Patti Hanks, UU Ministry Intern and Cheryl Brown our new Music Coordinator. Please bring a hot or cold dish, insulated to maintain temperature; the kitchen is not available. Label serving dishes and utensils with your name. Bring your own place setting, including cutlery, and remove after dining. Coffee, tea and water will be provided. Questions? Email Sandy Hoover at shoover122@aol.com. All are welcome!

"The African Diaspora Experience in Florida"

It is more important than ever with the state cutting African-American studies in our schools for us to support programs that are promoting Black History Month. The Pinellas County African American Museum is continuing a series of special presentations to celebrate Black History Month. The museum is located at 1101 Marshall Street, Clearwater and the presentations will be from 7-8 PM. On Friday February 17,2023 Dr. Anthony Dixson will present “The African Diaspora Experience in Florida”. This program examines Florida’s relationship with African descendants from 1513 to the present and the impact it has on the growth of the state.

A group of us will be meeting for dinner at 5:00 at KPicu, 1443 Belcher Road. Join us and we can carpool over together to the event. Please let Linda Stoller at lstol10403@aol.com if you will be joining us.
