When We Can’t Do It On Our Own…

and Saying “I need your help”

Everyone has worries and anxiety, especially when we need help or we can’t do something on our own. Some have more worries and others have less. And our worries can change. We can use a Worry Stone to tell our worries to. It can help us share our worries.

We will be making our own worry stones!

2023 Stewardship luncheon a success.

Campaign exceeds the halfway mark to our goal!

Based on the pledges we have received, we are well over half way toward our goal, with average increases of more than 13%. Great thanks to all of you who have made your pledge in support of our spiritual home. The 2023 Stewardship Luncheon held on March 12th was a fun time for all. With the music of Summer Breezes, the program was a walk down memory lane. And we were able to complete pledges from those in attendance, which is a big help toward a quick wrap up for this year's campaign. If you haven't sent in your pledge form yet, please do so as soon as you can.

Get Ready for the

Nehemiah Action

March 27, 2023  7PM

Indian Rocks Baptist Church

12685 Ulmerton Road in Largo

Everyone is asking, “What do I wear to the Nehemiah Action?”. Your UUC tee shirt of course. Do you need a UUC tee shirt? Buy a vintage tee for $5. Various sizes are available or order a new shirt at the Social Justice table in the Social hall after the service. It’s also time to study up on the FAST facts. How many of the following questions can you answer? What does FAST stand for? What are the three issues FAST is working on this year? Who are the UUC team captains? Who are UUC FAST network members? What are the seven Ds? Which elected officials have been invited this year? Will there be tension? Excitement? Justice? Watch for the answers to these questions next week.

Earthquakes in Turkey and Syria

March Community Outreach Organization

Thousands of people in Turkey and Syria are reeling from two deadly earthquakes that struck the region on the morning of February 6 th . The first registered a magnitude 7.8 – one of the strongest earthquakes to hit the region in 100 years and the second at magnitude 7.5. Several powerful aftershocks have hit the region ranging. from a 6.3 magnitude to a 5.2 magnitude last Monday, three weeks after the original quake. The earthquakes in Turkey and Syria have left over 50,000 dead and thousands of injuries. More than 100,000 buildings have toppled leaving more than a million people homeless in Turkey alone without shelter in freezing temperatures. The World Health Organization says that 26 million people need assistance across both countries and UNICEF states that there are 4.6 million children in the earthquake-affected areas of Turkey, with more than 2.5 million children affected in Syria. The International Rescue Committee is on the front lines doing everything they can to provide assistance, but they need our help. The devastation is enormous. Please give from your heart. For more information, google earthquakes in Turkey and Syria or rescue.org . Thank you!
