Just Dance! is a new adult/teen RE opportunity meeting on Saturdays 10-11 a.m. in the chapel from 5/17- 6/28, an 8-week session. It is not a “how-to” class, but a chance to express yourself through movement. Many religious traditions practice ecstatic dance. I attended classes of this type for over a year in WA. (Floaty fabric and shakers provided.) Free-will donation to UUCF, $5 suggested. Kathy Myers, 301-524-3438.

Star Island Natural History Week

June 15- 22, 2025

Star Island’s Place in the Cosmos

This year’s Natural History Week will focus on astronomy and the cosmos, with a week-long, world-class presentation by John Gianforte (theskyguy.org) including observations in the uncluttered night sky of the island. Different speakers are featured each afternoon and evening, presenting on issues and trends impacting the Gulf of Maine. Beyond expanding your mind with a deeper understanding of our planet and region, Natural History Week on Star Island offers a respite from the busy life on the mainland, and is an all-inclusive stay, including three meals and lodging. For more information and to register, go to: https://nhwstar.org/index.html. For more information from two UUCF members that are attending, feel free to reach out to Janet Ady or Pam McDonald.
