"Behold"

Rev. Beth Robbins, Guest Worship Leader

When we make others feel truly seen, we impact their lives and our own in profound ways. How might we expand our capacity to see the full humanity in each person we encounter? Please join Rev. Beth this Sunday to explore this essential spiritual practice at the heart of every healthy person, family, community, and society.

A Message from Rev. Chris

This past weekend I had the joy of joining 8 adults and 4 youth from UUCGL at the Ferry Beach retreat, where we gathered with UU friends from Marblehead, Beverly, Stow & Acton, and Malden. My responsibilities led me to co-lead the Saturday morning worship planning meeting, kite flying on the beach in the afternoon, the Saturday evening all-campus talent show, Saturday evening bonfire with s'mores and music, and our all-campus Sunday morning worship. Between the five churches, the retreat center was full to capacity, even as our UUCGL contingent was the smallest we've had during my tenure here.

My own experience was richly multigenerational and multi-church. I very much enjoyed collaborating on programming with our sister congregations, sharing notes, and learning about what they are up to. You can see some of the pictures I took here... MORE

Help Wanted...

Leadership Team Openings

Our Church needs your help. We are facing an exciting year ahead as we finish developing and then implementing our transition plan. Success will get UUCGL to a financially sustainable future, and to make that happen, we need folks willing to challenge our systems, bring new ideas and a fresh outlook to the party. Now is not the time to sit back and let others do the work.

Please review the openings on the Board of Trustees, Finance and Investment Committee, and Properties Committee HERE. If you're interested or curious, reach out to any board member at Fellowship Hour or email Dave at board@uucgl.com, and he or another member of the Board will happily engage!

VOTE FOR ONE:

Save the Date

Join us on May 16th for a special evening of music for a great cause. UUCGL's own beloved choir accompanist, David Collins, joined by special guests, will share his special brand of magic for a fundraiser concert benefiting the New American Association of Massachusetts, Inc. (NAAM), whose mission is to help refugees and immigrants build stable, fulfilling lives. Your attendance directly sustains this essential work. Learn more at uucgl.org/davidcollins.

Come experience a night of extraordinary music while supporting a mission rooted in welcome, dignity, and belonging.

Sanctuary Seating

In the next few weeks, you may notice the seating in the Sanctuary being reconfigured. The goal is to reduce seating and to make things feel a bit cozier. This is being done in response to recent feedback.

There is ribbon across the chairs in the 3 rows in the back of the sanctuary, so they can serve as overflow seating.

Pledge Drive Ending Sunday!

Our 2026 Pledge Drive wraps up on Sunday, May 3rd, and we need your help to finish strong. This year's focus is on member participation, and we set an aggressive goal of reaching 75% participation. If you haven’t yet made your pledge, please participate. It only takes a minute! Every pledge, at every level, helps sustain our community and its mission.
