We encourage the wearing of masks when we are together. Masks are an easy and simple way to minimize worry over sharing germs as we enjoy each other’s company. For those of you who would like to maintain social distance in the sanctuary (which has several air filters running), the front side of the sanctuary by the wooden Lydia Breed sculpture is reserved for you. A Message from Rev. Vicki | |
In the Spirit
What a joy and delight to be back with all of you this past Sunday at our Celebration of Community! Thank you so much to the board, the choir, Kenneth and David, and everyone who fed us soup and cake and hosted a wonderful gathering. Please remember as you consider your pledge to support the 2023-24 program year that members of the board and staff are very happy to answer any questions you might have or to help you think through what you want to pledge and why. UUCGL is complicated financially and we know it can be confusing; especially for newer-comers. Read on...

Happy St. Patrick’s Day Weekend! This Sunday, the Spirit Play class will begin in their classroom at 10am to hear the wonderful story The Leprechaun Who Lost His Rainbow by Sean Callahan. We’ll talk about St. Patrick’s Day, rainbows, and the connection between rainbows and the 7 Principles of Unitarian Universalism, followed by some fun activity choices to help us celebrate St. Paddy’s Day.
Our Neighboring Faith class will gather in the foyer at 10am and then travel together to the Islamic Society of the North Shore, for a tour, 5-10 minute talk by Fawaz Abusharkh, and some time for discussion, before returning to UUCGL by 12pm, if not earlier. Program registration and RSVP’s to Rev. Chris Scheller required to participate.

We had to take down three of our large, beloved pine trees on Monday — two in the staff parking lot and one in the back parking lot. All were in bad shape and potentially dangerous to cars and walkers (click photo to enlarge).
