Reflection...
Beloved friends,
We will celebrate with a magnificent and short service at 10:30 a.m., followed by a brown bag lunch at the UU (it is possible there may be cake!), and then go off to join the activities for the Up North Pride March.
Gather at 12:30pm at The Little Fleet for a short rally, then march down Front Street to the Clinch Park Beach
.
Bring your posters, rainbow flags and Pride spirit as we march through downtown Traverse City.
Bikes, strollers, dogs, coaster toys are all welcome!
Come join us and be blessed with the work of opening and healing your heart no matter what it contains. This will be a wonderful day for our community, and a time to remember that UUCGT has always been a leader in LGBTQ+ rights leadership.
Looking forward to being with you on Sunday.
In blessing -
Rabbi Chava

Sunday Service
Sunday, June 25 -
Rabbi Chava Bahle, Kathy Booker-Graham and Mark Dragovich
1
0:30 AM Service:
"The Loving Heart"
Children and Youth are invited to stay in the service with parents.
How do we cultivate an open, loving heart? It is risky to live vulnerably, but as UUs we are encouraged to live boldly and bravely...this means the risk of an open heart.
In the well-known words of Jay Abernathy, Jr. -
We affirm that love is our greatest purpose.
Accepting one another is the truest form of faithful living.
The search for truth is our constant star.
We pledge our hearts, minds, and hands: To challenge injustice with courage; To find hope in times of fear; And to live out our Unitarian Universalist values every day as a beloved community.
Thus do we covenant with each other and with all that is sacred in life.

f
or Children,
Sunday Service: 10:30 a.m.
Sunday programming for Children and Youth through August (the remainder of this program year) will complement Sunday Services in our efforts to move closer to congregational thematic ministry.
This thematic calendar will explore the Six Source traditions, and consider wisdom from around the world.
We are pleased to share that we are launching our 5th annual Specialty Class Summer - our Sunday morning Summer Program for children preK-5th grade runs June 1st through September 3rd. This program consists of fun & informative lessons led by congregants and special guests. Anyone from the congregation interested in sharing a hobby, craft, skill, or lesson is encouraged to contact Sarah to schedule a Sunday to work with the children.
Youth are invited to remain in the sanctuary throughout the summer.
Suggested readings for families/parents this month include:
- Henry Builds a Cabin by DB Johnson
- Henry Climbs a Mountain by DB Johnson
