Reflection...
Friends -
This will be my last Flash message until the end of July. A description of my Study Bardo will appear in the Beacon later this month, including where I will be when and the gifts with which I hope to return to you on August 2.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Sunday Services Committee, Congregational Care Team, Board and our Staff who are ensuring a smooth month around my major duties. (A reminder that there is no service here at the UU on July 2.)
On July 16, we will be honoring the life of Mercedes Kimling; I look forward to being together with you for that special service, following our 10:30 AM service.
The purpose of this Study Bardo is to consider this teaching and these questions from author, minister and counselor Wayne Muller:
"Who am I?
What do I love?
How shall I live, knowing I will die?
What is my gift to the family of the earth?"
I look forward already to our reunion, beloveds, and will be holding you in my heart on the Way.
In blessing -
Rabbi Chava

Please Note: No Sunday Service on July 2
Our 5th annual Specialty Class Summer (our summer program for children preK-5th grade on Sunday mornings which runs June 1st - Resumption Sunday in September) is off to a great start! These lessons consist of fun & informative experiences led by congregants and special guests. July features lessons on beekeeping, our UU ancestor, Fannie Farmer, and much more!
Youth are invited to remain in the sanctuary throughout the summer.
This month's suggested readings for families/parents are silly and fun!
