During the last two services of the church year, the congregation formally welcomed 11 new members.  Amy Arzoomanian, Stuart & Suellen Davidson, Emily Ekis, Chris Hardy, Donald & Jeanne Hochstetler, Laura Lynch, David Pierson, Heather Romeri, and Art “Lucy” Sennott. Take a Photo of Yourself and Family This Summer

With a new minister arriving in August, let's enhance our community bulletin board with new or updated photos of everyone to help her (and all of us) get acquainted. You can send a digital photo to commteam@uucm.org. Be sure to identify everyone in the photo.

UUCM Summer Services Will Vary in Format & Start Times

The schedule for 2023 summer services is on the UUCM website. Details for each will also be in Weekly Updates. Services will take the following formats:

• 9:30am in the Fireside Room at UUCM (no Zoom) - Informal service and discussion led by the facilitator. Dates: July 9, August 13 & 27
• A reflective service offered as a video that can be viewed anytime that week. Videos will be about 25 minutes long and include readings, music, and a meditation. Dates: July 2 & 23, August 20, September 3
• 10:45am on Zoom: We'll view the day’s Monadnock Lyceum program together and have a discussion afterwards. Dates: July 16 & 30, August 6

Last chance to Make a Share the Plate Nomination

At each Sunday service, UUCM shares its offertory with an external nonprofit organization whose mission is in line with our UU principles and values, and reflects UUCM’s priorities for social action. If you would like to nominate a nonprofit for consideration, please complete this form now. Deadline is July 10th! FYI, here are the Recipients for the past two years. 

Highlights from the June 4 Annual Meeting

• The slate of candidates for the UUCM Board, Congregational Development Committee (CDC), and Trustees of the Endowment were submitted and approved. See the updated Directory of Leadership & Committees here.  
• The budget for 2023-2024 was approved.
• The Property Committee's request to withdraw $86,000 from the Building Fund for much needed upgrades was approved.  Read more.

Community Suppers - Weds., July 19 & August 16, 5:30-6:30pm

Take a night off from cooking and join some friends at church for supper! The menu changes monthly, and we always offer a vegetarian option. Questions? Or want to volunteer to help? Contact Nancy Danzinger.

SHARE Needs Your Support this Summer

Coming up, please purchase canned ham, canned meats, side dishes (seasoned pasta mix, Hamburger Helper, etc.), ravioli and Beefaroni for the Food Pantry at SHARE. Click to see where to drop off food donations.
