Fear Not!
Stewardship Kick Off
Rev. Lee Anne Washington
Buddhism recognizes fear as a type of suffering. Zoroastrians consider living in fear worse than death. The phrase “fear not” appears 365 times in the Bible.
Our annual pledge drive theme is “imagine the possibilities. . . “ Join us as Rev. Lee Anne considers how fear significantly limits our imaginative faculties and explores some advice for how to live without fear.
During the duration of our OWL program, all children should report directly to their respective classrooms.

Joys and Sorrows
A Sorrow from Peggy Fallon: Peggy shared her sorrow on the passing of her beloved former partner, Bill S. on March 7th, in Kentucky after a 10 day hospital stay of cascading complications. He died peacefully in his sleep just shy of his 75th birthday. Bill believed Yogi Berra was a Zen master, enjoyed his life as a history professor, but kind of wished he had gone into doing cartoon voices instead. Always handy with a song and a guitar, he cooked a mean schnitzel, loved wading in mountain streams while stalking trout, and most of all to be useful. He loved all his people fiercely. Whenever Peggy confronts something hard (like this) she hears his voice in her head saying, “Good training.”
A Sorrow from Mike Giazzoni: Unfortunately, after a long illness, his father-in-law passed away March 5th. He is survived by his daughter and son as well as two grandchildren. He will be remembered fondly.
A Sorrow and A Joy from Lindsay Scott: Tim Stanny, a friend of the church, passed away November 24, 2024. He kindly made a bequest to honor Tony Palermo and former minister Carol Meyer for which we are very grateful.
Note: When you want to share a joy or sorrow submit it electronically by clicking here by Saturday. Alternatively, you may can fill out a card as you enter the sanctuary on Sunday.

Here's an idea -- make it a date night! Go out with some friends for dinner and come by the UUCNH Open Mic Night (formerly known as Coffeehouse) for entertainment. You'll have this opportunity every second Friday of the month at 7:30pm
