A BIG THANK YOU to the one hundred seven members and friends who have pledged $354,655.00!

If you intend to make a pledge, please do so IMMEDIATELY.

carolballance@uucnh.org or Michealhorwitz@uucnh.org

Some Things Never Change (It's All in the Details)

UUCNH Youth Group

Whether you are the silent generation, a boomer, gen x, a millennial, or gen z, some things never change. Other generations think that there are so many differences between how they grew up and how Gen Z does today. Our UUCNH youth group wants to show you that the differences are in the details but many parts in the life of a teenager stay the same no matter what generation you are from.

For the duration of our OWL program, all children should report directly to their respective classrooms.

Children's Religious Education Schedule

No time for all ages while OWL is in session. All children go directly to their classrooms.

Feb 2nd - April 13th -Elementary Owl classes will be held concurrently with RE classes. Any children not registered for OWL are welcome to go to RE classes.

April 6th, 13th, 28th RE Classes (Theme is joy). This month we will be looking at where joy can be found, and we will begin by exploring how joy is found in “foolishness.” Think fun, silliness, jokes, and the good-hearted frivolity that makes us happy to be alive.

April 20th - Easter egg hunt.

Quest for Belief - This Sunday

There’s always one…

How do you deal with people that you really, well… just don’t like? How do you decide when to try harder, or when to walk away? What guidance do our first three Principles give, and how likely − in the heat of the moment − are we to take it?

Let’s talk! All are welcome to join the discussion on Sunday, April 13th from 9:15-10:15am upstairs in the Youth Room.

Meditation Group This Monday

Please join us for Meditation group. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Mondays from 7 to 8 pm. No experience required just a willingness to learn and breathe. Contact meditation@uucnh.org for any questions.

Jesus Discussion Group

3rd Sunday of April, the 20th, from noon to 1:15 PM on Zoom and at church (upstairs, follow the signs). As the sect of Jesus people became Christians, they wrote stories not included in the New Testament. At the same time, the Roman world reacted. This month’s chapter in the Jesus story. See Tony Palermo for details.

Joys and Sorrows

A sorrow from Anne Moore: My husband Keith has significant heart issues and emphysema, The help we ask for is emotional support in easing stress surrounding the upcoming tests and procedures. Also can anyone help train us to get and stay on a heart healthy diet?

A Joy from Chris HIll, for many of us: Wonderful to see Issac Elias in the North Allegheny Journal. He was recognized for helping to organize protests against Elon Musk at the Tesla Dealership!

Note: When you want to share a joy or sorrow submit it electronically by clicking here by Saturday. Alternatively, you may can fill out a card as you enter the sanctuary on Sunday.

Celebrating Life

Open Mic Night - Tonight!

You are invited to be entertained by your talented friends. The West Room stage will be an open mic for anyone interested in singing a song, telling a joke, telling an interesting story, or ranting about the news — let’s keep it non-political.

Here's an idea -- make it a date night! Go out with some friends for dinner and come by the UUCNH Open Mic Night for entertainment. You'll have this opportunity every second Friday of the month at 7:30pm

Your Haikus

Dear Ones,

What pure unadulterated joy I felt as I read your haikus. They are so lovely that Robyn and I were inspired to publish them in a little booklet. Of course, Robyn did most of the work!

We hope you enjoy them as much as we have. Click here to view the booklet online. Printed copies will be available for sale next week.

May you be peaceful and at ease,

Rev. Lee Anne

UU General Assembly

UUCNH needs delegates for GA. Please see here for details on being a delegate.

The theme this year is "Meet the Moment." This year's programming goes beyond a theme — it’s a platform for UU's to engage in big-picture conversations about the vital work happening across our faith.

These sessions bring together UUA staff, thought partners, and congregational leaders to explore practical solutions that promote healthy congregations, empower leadership, and inspire newcomers to Unitarian Universalism.

From religious education to budgeting, family ministry, and building management, Meet-The-Moment programming offers a think tank experience designed to address the real needs of congregations. It’s a chance to learn, collaborate, and share best practices, ensuring our communities are equipped to face today’s challenges with innovation, resilience, and faith.
