What are the qualities we most seek in our leaders? What leadership do we need for today? In the leadership roles we hold (as parents, at work, in the community, in our families or households) what are the ethical principles that can help us lead in ways that encourage the values of love and justice.

Share the Plate with Rosie's House
Sunday, February 26 at 9:30 AM & 11:15 AM
Rosie's House is a free afterschool music academy for children ages 5 to 18. Founded in 1996 by Rosie Schurz, a German immigrant, the academy was established in a small home in an impoverished Phoenix neighborhood. Rising above the poverty that plagued our Phoenix community, Rosie created a safe haven for youth to express their creativity and pursue their dreams. Our mission is to give the underserved youth of greater Phoenix the gift of music education. Through music we encourage discipline, offer hope and help students reach their full potential.
Upcoming Classes and Events
Third Friday Movie Night: The Black Panthers
Friday, February 17, 6:00 PM in the Sanctuary
Tonight we will screen the PBS documentary, The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution. From the film's website: "In the turbulent 1960s, change was coming to America and the fault lines could no longer be ignored. A new revolutionary culture was emerging and it sought to drastically transform the system. The Black Panther Party for Self-Defense would, for a short time, put itself at the vanguard of that change. This is the first feature-length documentary to explore the Black Panther Party, its significance to the broader American culture, its cultural and political awakening for black people, and the painful lessons wrought when a movement derails."

We'll gather at 6:00pm in the Sanctuary, Coming of Age will have popcorn for sale, and we'll start the film at 6:15. Run time is 1 hour, 54 min.
