Celebration Sunday: Now More Than Ever
Sunday, April 16, 2017
Service Leader:  Rev. Susan Frederick-Gray

Worship 10:30 AM (start of one-service schedule)
Group Photo 11:30 AM meet outside in the upper parking lot
Coffee Hour 12:00 PM on the patio
Come celebrate and be a part of the Combined Stewardship and Capital Campaign! Listen as we share testimonies of the difference this congregation makes, in our dreams for our future and a very special telling of one of Rev. Susan's all time favorite stories (especially for Easter!).

Celebration Sunday marks the end of the Combined Stewardship & Capital Campaign. We hope to have all Members pledges turned in by this date, announce our fundraising totals, and celebrate all of our ministry for the past year. It's a time to celebrate US! The whole congregation will gather up on the upper parking lot for a group photo that goes on our website, Facebook, etc. After the photo the children will go on a Spring Egg Hunt and meet up with the adults on the patio for a coffee hour party. This year we will do a scavenger hunt. We are looking for cooks to bring deviled eggs and desserts to share for the party.
Campaign Update
If you haven't turned your pledge form in, please do so at the Combined Campaign table on Sunday or online with the link below.

Announcing a New History of UUCP
A new history of UUCP will be premiered at Celebration Sunday, April 16. Compiled by congregational historian Charlotte Carl-Mitchell, it includes never-before-shared information on our earliest ministers gleaned from the UUA archives at Harvard University. A few black-and-white printed copies of the history will be available. A full color version will be posted on our website. When did you first start attending UUCP? Stop by the Archive table on Sunday and sign your name on the illustrated timeline and see where you fit in our 70 year long history.

This April, we continue our Community Night tradition. Each week features the talents of the fabulous cooks in our congregation: two main dishes (one vegetarian), as well as sides, salad and bread. A donation of $5 per adult, $2 per child under ten, or $10 per family, covers the cost of the meal. If you'd like to join, but have dietary restrictions or preferences, you are welcome to bring your own meal.

Community Night Menu:

4/20 - Come enjoy a hearty breakfast for dinner: including waffles, pancakes, scrambled eggs, home fries, and cereal. Vegan and gluten free options available! Kids (and those who feel young at heart) wear your Pajamas! Chefs Amanda Rogers + Emrys Staton will be in the kitchen.

Following Community night,  Thursday evenings feature many activities: small groups, adult faith development, Pathway to Membership, and more. Check out the UUCP website to sign up. Chalice Kids childcare is available between  6:30-8:30.

If you have any questions about Community Night, or you'd like to contribute as a Sous Chef (sides, salad, or bread) please contact  Janine below. If you enjoy contributing, but cannot commit in advance, bringing a dessert to share is always welcome.

Open Small Group
Thursday, April 20, at 7:00 PM in Annex B
Facilitator:  Joan O'Connor
Small Group Ministry is an ideal way to connect to others and tend to your heart and spirit at UUCP.  Life can feel like a frenzied struggle against a materialistic world, which leaves us feeling disconnected from our deepest selves and without the energy to reach out in love and service to others. They follow the monthly worship themes and offer a way to engage the themes in your daily life and grow and learn with a group while sharing your own story, insights and learnings. For more info visit the link below.
