Justice Ministry December Giving Opportunities
Stop by the back table on Sunday, December 11 to pick up information on how you can help the Refugee Assistance program assist Eritrean refugees, and Maryland School by bringing board games, balls and other sports equipment for family events at the school. Donations gratefully accepted through December 18.

Center for Neighborhood Leadership

Center for Neighborhood Leadership is an incubator for social change that provides curriculum and support necessary to transform marginalized people into emerging leaders. The education and experience they receive is intended to shift the landscape of social justice, community development, and community-driven public policy. CNL prepares everyday people to build effective community coalitions that define their own priorities and implement the solutions necessary to improve their lives.

Christmas Caroling 
Saturday, December 10, starting at 1:00 PM in the Sanctuary
If you enjoy singing Christmas carols and spreading cheer, please join us for our congregation's annual afternoon of caroling! We'll meet at UUCP at 1:00 PM, sing a few carols together, and then spend a relaxed afternoon visiting and singing to UUCP elders who are rarely able to attend services. If you'll definitely be attending, let Benjie know, so that he can estimate how many people we can visit. Email Benjie below to let him know you are coming.

Outdoor Group Hike
Saturday, December 10, starting at 8:00 AM
The Outdoor Group arranges day hikes twice a month (second and fourth Saturdays during the winter months).  We invite everyone who likes being outdoors to join us.  Bring a friend.  Our next hike is at Cave Creek Regional Park.  8:00 AM coffee social @ Starbucks at 4815 E. Carefree Highway, Cave Creek, AZ 85331. 8:30 meeting place Cave Creek Regional Park. Young Adult Small Group

The young adult small group is a place for "younger" adults to get together and talk about issues important to us. We provide a safe space to share ideas and challenge each other respectfully. We are an open group and anyone who feels they are a young adult-regardless of age-is welcome to join and share their thoughts with us. For more information, email Caitlin below.

Sangha Buddhist Group
Tuesday, December 13, at 7:00 PM in the Sanctuary

2nd Wednesday Small Group

Come one, come all to the new small group at UUCP. This small group will discuss the monthly theme in a small group format. Small Groups provide a space to tend to your heart and spirit. They follow the monthly worship themes and offer a way to engage the themes in your daily life and grow and learn with a group while sharing your own story, insights and learnings. Each group is led by a trained facilitator. Each group also engages in a service project at least once during the year to serve the congregation or wider community.

Women's Winter Solstice Celebration

Join us for a Women Circle's ceremonial feast with song and dance and an exchange Yule gift giving. If you can, please bring a small gift-it can be a token that is meaningful to you and/or an item in your household that you are ready to share with someone else. Bring a female Friend, if you like. Board of Trustees Meeting

Break bread and socialize with the Board of Trustees starting at 6:00 PM, and the meeting begins at 6:30 PM. Guests are invited to address the board during guest comments at the beginning and observe the remainder of the meeting. Child Dedications at Christmas Eve Services

In UU congregations, child dedications are an opportunity for parents to bring their young children to be blessed and welcomed into community. If you are interested in having your child or children dedicated at one of the Christmas eve services (5:30pm or 7:30pm), or have questions, please email Rev.
