Summer Services Update from Beth Cobb, Assistant for Services
I am happy to say that all the services in July and August for which I am responsible for coordinating now are filled with speakers or topics. Thank you to all the wonderful people who have come forward to lead our worship. We still have room for the following: readers, chalice lighters, and musicians who would like to play an instrument for the prelude, postlude, or offertory to augment our piano and recorded music. Any suggestions and recommendations that I received from the questionnaires not used this summer are being passed on to the Worship Committee for future consideration.  The paper slips are available one more time this Sunday, June 25, and here is the electronic version will be available until the end of the month.
Mindful Meditation Group - As always, the door will be left slightly open so that late arrivals can enter quietly.

June 25th - Unguided practice with a bell to mark the beginning and three bells to mark the end. Usual time: meet & setup at 9:20 am, start at 9:25 am.

July 2nd - Guided practice with audio. Usual time: meet & setup at 9:20 am, start at 9:25 am.
Summer Broadly Graded Classes Begin this Sunday!
We will have broadly graded classes this summer using the curriculum “Rhinos & Raspberries” Tolerance Tales for the Early Grades.  Although labeled for the early grades, everyone can learn a lesson from the folktales each week. The class and others will share folktales and songs during worship on August 20th. This Sunday, June 25th, our story is the “The Stonecutter” about a man wishing he was someone else.  We will discuss how each of us is powerful and good just the way we are.  We will carve our own stone (clay).

General Assembly (GA) - Live Streaming GA Ware Lecture
We will be streaming this year's GA Ware Lecture in Fellowship Hall on Saturday evening, June 24, at 8:30 PM. Information from the GA Program follows: The Ware Lecture speaker is Bryan Stevenson the founder and Executive Director of the Equal Justice Initiative in Montgomery, Alabama. Mr. Stevenson is a widely acclaimed public interest lawyer who has dedicated his career to helping the poor, the incarcerated and the condemned. He is the recent author of the New York Times bestseller, Just Mercy, which was a "UU Read" in the past. More information is available in the GA Program Guide at This will be streamed but not recorded for future playback by the UUA, so this will be the only opportunity for us to hear this lecture. We are hoping to have available another racial justice session from GA, perhaps by Robin DeAngelo, to show at 7:15 before the Ware Lecture at 8:30. Erich will do the streaming, and  Pamela will bring pizza. Please let Pamela Van Wyk know if you are interested and plan to come and we'll know how to plan. Feel free to share this with anyone else you think might be interested.
